Marriage is and has always been between a man and women. The homosexual community needs to develope thier own customs and traditions and leave the heterosexual customs and traditions alone.

The fact people can be against this at all blows my mind. It amazes me what bigots people can be.

Marriage, at it's basic in our modern day, is a civil contract between two people who love each other and desire to show a commitment to each other and the world. It's not really about children or families. It's about each other. The fight for LGBT marriage is about equality as well. These committed couples want the same benefits that other committed couples have simply because of a contract.

Also, those against "non-traditional" marriage are typically against it because of RELIGIOUS reasons. The government is forbidden by it's own founding documents to make decisions based from RELIGIOUS reasons. Therefore, these civil contracts (aka Marriage) should be allowed for anyone who can give consent.

There is absolutely no legal reason for marriage between two men or two women to be banned. There is only religiously shrouded bigotry.

If you believe the Holy Bible is the Word of God, then there is only one answer, NO. It is an abomination, look at what happened in Sodem and Gammora, read Leviticus 18:22 which is one of many verses addressing this. As far as the scripture Obama referenced, anyone can pull out a verse to suit the topic..
