Nuclear power is NEVER safe. Build solar panels in Michigan. Look at Germany's success with this.

I strongly agree that other alternatives like solar and wind power are strong investments. However, power plants today are built with so many failsafe's that they are extremely safe; the ones in Japan are something like 20 years old and their safety systems worked pretty good for being hit with an earthquake and tsunami at the same time.
