I believe that marijuana, as well as every other drug should be legalized, but yes especially grass. That being said, I also believe that if you were to indulge in certain drugs, you have given up your right to certain medical treatments. For example, wanna smoke? Please go ahead, but don't expect me to help you out when you get lung cancer. Driving a motorcycle without a helmet? Sure go ahead, but we arn't reviving you.
I also somewhat agree with Marijuana being a gateway drug, but again only to a certain extent. I don't think that grass is opening the door for crack, methamphetamine, and all of those horrible things.. but I do believe that pot users are more likely to partake in party drugs such as cocaine and mdma, but they are also more willing to experiment with psychoactive drugs like psychedlic mushrooms and LSD25. Perhaps its just me, but with the exception of cocaine I do not find any of those drugs "hard." They are not addictive, have a very high ld50 if any at all and the user isn't hurting anyone but themselves. As long as you are a healthy adult, the government should let you do as you please. Again with that being said, drug use needs to be done responsibly, and I think our country has an epidemic of people not being responsible for themselves.
I don't really ever see complete legality happening, but hopefully one day we can learn to tolerate responsible use among adults.

In 11 of those wrecks, someone died, sometimes more than one. 4 of those were children. Feel better now? And in your 11 years as a cop how many accidents have been a result of drunk driving? I'm guessing a lot more than a couple per year. Alcohol is a lot harder of a drug than marijauana, but they government regulates and taxes alcohol... so drink up citizens so we can pay off our trillions in deficit while also paying cops $80/hour to stand on the side of the street waving traffic around (when they feel like it).

Should be a persons choice to use stimulants or not.
Medical use is far too long in coming.

I've worked my fair share of alcohol related accidents as well and I've cut those people no slack either. No one deserves slack when they've caused an accident because they were under the influence of anything, be it alcohol, narcotics or marijuana. Grown ass people need to learn how to make responsible decisions and should pay the price when they make a stupid choice, especially when it injures or kills someone else. And if you want to start a topic about alcohol, then be my guest, I'll post on it as well. But this topic is about marijuana, so lets try not to digress here. And where in the hell are cops making $80 an hour?? I sure ain't! Let me know because I'm working for the wrong department! Oh, and the government will never be able to make enough money off of marijuana to make a dent in the deficit. They cannot properly or efficiently regulate the strength, growth, distribution, or sales of it and it wouldn't be worth the time and effort. That's why it's not legal now. And it never will be.
