whats the point of making something illegal when it harms only the user.....stop wasting tax dollars arresting lazy pot heads and fix the pot holes in the roads

It should be because no one can over dose on it unless it has other drugs in it. Were wasting tax dollars on putting people in jail over weed.

Alcohol is far more dangerous. There are over 80,000 people in jail because of casual use. There is too much money being spent to keep these people in jail. Also the cost of fighting the drug war and the organized crime that is supported by having it illegal. Let's legalize it and tax it like alcohol.

I agree but like anything else the government touches...they wanna tax it to death...1/4 ounce may cost 50.00 on the street but covernment would creat a special tax...plus the regular tax in Florida it's 7% then they would creat a recreatioal tax...of 10%...then if you don't live here a tourist tax of 12%...

it could boost economy and everyone smokes or eats it for the most part. If you have to break the law to get it other laws have less weight

We have known for quite some time that marijuana was far less toxic than alcohol or cigarettes, but the government lies supported by government paid "scientists" have kept hemp illegal in this country for far too long.

It grows naturally and is very calming. I have never heard of a stoned person beating someone up! If someone is going to abuse a substance they will do it whether it is legal or not. I don't think throwing someone in jail and ruining their life over a joint is right. I think it should be treated as alcohol is and have a legal age and consequences for smoking and driving

It grows naturally just like tobacco and although I think it is as bad as cigarettes on your health, I don't understand why cigarettes are legal and it is not. Also, alcohol is legal and it is much more damaging overall than pot. If someone is going to abuse some substance they are going to do it whether it is legal or not and I just don't see any point in putting people in jail for wanting to partake of the wacky weed. I think it should have restrictions on age and of course driving while stoned is not a good idea.

It's been repeated over and over...safer than alcohol, huge tax revenues, ease burden on law enforcement and prison systems, and it's here to stay, etc. there's no down side!

What is there to explain. Pot should have
been legalized in 1960. What a waste of time
trying to make a point.
