War on drugs is a waste of local resources. Gang trouble is getting worse across the country and the border states with their all out war. Just legalize it already. Prohibition only creates crime.

Why wouldn't you legalize it. Not only will it be a new source of tax revenue, but once legalized will people really want to do it anymore.

Marijuana contributes to Obesity, not to mention second hand paranoia is annoying in the workplace.

has helped me with so many things and honestly i actually got better grades at school when i was smoking weed, due to lowered anxiety i was actually able to work, i even taught a friend trigonometric functions while i was chopped once, ever since i started smoking weed my suicidal thoughts have went from hourly to none, even when I'm sober, honestly it has made life livable, and has helped much more then any antidepressant or anti anxiety medicines, which have physical dependency, cost much more and have way worse severe side effects

I have delt with a lot of people on Marijuana. They are lazy, zombied out, and can't drive under the influence. They are all over the road. This behavior would increase "10 fold" if legalized. More people would be using. It would be a disaster for our country.

I believe that it should be legalized because it causes less harm to your body than drinking and when people get high they are not running around doing dangerous activity such as driving.

Recall the liquor prohibition in the 1930's? How that fueled the mob's activities? Shootings? Deaths due to tainted booze? Jails filling up? Court system jammed? Do you see shoot outs over bootleg liquor now? Nope. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it, make it adhere to a quality standard, and allow it to be used for both its outstanding medical properties (unlike alcohol...) and for its wonderous recreational purposes when used responsibly (just like alcohol!)
Gateway drug
Meth is used first most often with teens not pot alcohol is the true gateway drug. do the math alcohol alone kills thousands find one incident where pot alone killed anyone you'd be surprised. alcohol use starts at home in your liquor cabinet where your booze sits out in the open. Who leaves their pot just laying around

Use will go down , we can tax it , jails will be less crowded leaving room for REAL criminals , medicinal advantages will increase , endless supply of rope, paper, clothing, and other easily made easily renewed products , tax dollars can be used to attack meth and harder drugs (where our problem really is). get over the hype weed is not the killer we have all been lead to believe

The war on drugs has been a total failure. Prohibition creates the organized crime, just like during alcohol prohibition. Do you own your own body? If so then what right does the government have to say what you can and can not put into your body? This country was founded on freedom and liberty! We must be free to make our own choices, and that includes making mistakes once in a while.
