Meanwhile, federal agencies simultaneously and vigorously tout cannabis as highly addictive and of no medical value to the American public, despite overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrating its safety and efficacy.

I don't smoke it but have in the past. You can walk away from pot if you like it, you can't from alcohol or tobacco if it's your drug of choice. I say prohibition only works for criminals and makes the rich richer. Its harmless and needs to b taxed. It would also help wars in mexico. Its time that cops has a chance to focus on real crimes and dangerous people. Not peaceful hardworkin family people who like to smoke pot.

After getting blown up in Iraq and having schrapnel penetrate my skull. My neuroligist at Walter Reed told me that he could not tell me to find some friends that smoked weed and sit in with them because it would help to increase blood flow to my brain to help it recover and build new neural path ways but I was on my own if I got cought because it was illegal to posses or use and against DOD policy to promote .

We are wasteing to many tax payers rollers to lock people up for stupid and minor infractions and then when they get out they charge them even more money money that could be going to our local buisnesses

You start out with weed then start doing coccaine, meth, heroine, lsd, pcp and then go bezerk and ruin your life as well as others. Pot is the stepping stone to hard drugs which are not better than alcohol. Smoking pot is illegal for a reason. If you start smoking pot, you will have a needle sticking in your arm real soon. If your parents are smoking pot, please turn them in so they can get help. If kids you know are smoking pot, tell the police on them so they can get help. Drugs are bad. My aunt smoked pot and a firetruck ran into her because of it.

The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this failed prohibition of marijuana.
