It does not do or cause any of the bad things the opposes say it does. It is not at all like Reefer Madness. Hemp could also save the world!

Medical Cannabis

For those who are unfamiliar with its uses and history, one of the biggest concerns about cannabis is how it relates to health. Since the beginning of cannabis prohibition, many claims have been made about its negative (or for that matter positive) consequences. And while it is true that cannabis is not for everyone, the same can be said for any item found in medicine cabinet or in a grocery store.

It is of our opinion that the best decisions are well-informed decisions. We invite you to educate yourself and seek out unbiased answers to your questions.

We've listed a few basic facts below that you may not have known about cannabis and health, and we've included links to a few of the largest medical cannabis organizations in the country where you will find numerous studies and articles.

#1

Cannabis is safer than alcohol, safer than prescription painkillers and safer than tobacco. Cannabis has no known toxicity in humans, and no one has ever died from consuming cannabis.

#2

Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated not only the safety of cannabis, but also the efficacy in treating a number of very serious diseases and illnesses. Cannabis has been shown to be effective in treating relief of cancer and the side effects of its treatment, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Crohn's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia (FMS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's Disease, Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS), Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, cerebral palsy, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), opioid dependence, stroke and spinal injury among others.

#3

The federal government currently provides cannabis as medicine to four living patients under the Compassionate Investigational New Drug Program, and in 2003 approved patents for pharmaceutical development of cannabis constituents called cannabinoids. Meanwhile, federal agencies simultaneously and vigorously tout cannabis as highly addictive and of no medical value to the American public, despite overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrating its safety and efficacy.

I don't smoke it but have in the past. You can walk away from pot if you like it, you can't from alcohol or tobacco if it's your drug of choice. I say prohibition only works for criminals and makes the rich richer. Wake up America before its too late and our puppet government led by our friends and I say that loosely the Rothchilds have their evil way with us. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Its harmless and needs to b taxed. It would also help wars in mexico. Its time that cops has a chance to focus on real crimes and dangerous people. Not peaceful hardworkin family people who like to smoke pot.

legislation against plants that have medicinal values needs to stop, the war on drugs needs to omit this benign plant

After getting blown up in Iraq and having schrapnel penetrate my skull. My neuroligist at Walter Reed told me that he could not tell me to find some friends that smoked weed and sit in with them because it would help to increase blood flow to my brain to help it recover and build new neural path ways but I was on my own if I got cought because it was illegal to posses or use and against DOD policy to promote .

Let's be honest, it's a miracle plant. Should we really have to explain ourselves? It's sad all those who can't understand

You start out with weed then start doing coccaine, meth, heroine, lsd, pcp and then go bezerk and ruin your life as well as others. Pot is the stepping stone to hard drugs which are not better than alcohol. Smoking pot is illegal for a reason. If you start smoking pot, you will have a needle sticking in your arm real soon. If your parents are smoking pot, please turn them in so they can get help. If kids you know are smoking pot, tell the police on them so they can get help. Drugs are bad. My aunt smoked pot and a firetruck ran into her because of it.

The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this failed prohibition of marijuana. They claim that the 'plant' is dangerous and deadly, yet they can't provide any proof or credible evidence to back these claims up. If you want to know the FACTS about marijuana then click on the link below.

"The truth about marijuana the government doesn't want you to know."
