Alcohol and tobacco are both more addictive and dangerous than marijuana. Legalize it!

Alcohol and tobacco have been legal for many years and they also account for tens of millions of deaths. Dying from cancer can be a painful and very horrible way to die. Dying in an automobile accident caused by a drunk driver or someone high on drugs can also be painful and horrible,it is also needless and paltry.

Good citizens are being convicted of crimes for using a natural substance that is far safer than alcohol. How many people get stoned and race their car or beat their wives?

How many people are shown of youtube being stupid because they are on drugs? Do you really think that the people that try to rob a store with a banana are not on drugs? Good citizens don't use illegal drugs. Why don't potheads get a hobby or read a book instead of wasting their lives? Stamp collecting is the number one hobby in the world.

Stoned Presidents: U.S Presidents that Smoked Marijuana

Before marijuana prohibition began in the late 1930’s, many people, including some of our nations leaders
grew cannabis for a variety of reasons. It’s fairly well known that cannabis has thousands of industrial uses,
and has been grown for thousands of years. While simply growing cannabis is far from proof that someone
smoked it, there is still evidence showing many would-be U.S Presidents enjoyed it for recreational and medicinal uses.

George Washington
Washington routinely smoked marijuana to alleviate the pain from his ailing teeth.
Washington’s diary recounts his efforts to better cultivate and enhance his crops of marijuana.
Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson grew cannabis on his plantation and smuggled Chinese hemp seeds to America. He also is
believed to have given specialsmoking blends out as personal gifts which is why he makes the list.
James Madison
Madison once remarked that hemp gave him insight to create a new and democratic nation.
James Monroe
Monroe began smoking it as Ambassador to France & continued to the age of 73.
Andrew Jackson
Jackson has been documented to have smoked cannabis and tobacco cigars along withthe troops he led.
Zachary Taylor
Like Andrew Jackson, Taylor is said to have smoked with his troops in one or more of the
many wars he was in.
Franklin Pierce
Continuing a popular theme of the era, Pierce also smoked with his troops as a general in the Mexican-American War.
In a letter to his family, he says cannabis is “about the only good thing” in the war.
Abraham Lincoln
Quotes (real and fake) about Lincoln enjoying hemp are all over the internet. While some debate if Lincoln
sparked up, manyresources point to yes.
John F. Kennedy
Close acquaintances say Kennedy used cannabis regularly to control his back pain (even during his term) and
actually planned on legalizing marijuana during his second term.
Jimmy Carter
Along with his efforts to legalize marijuana, Some say Carter also hosted many marijuana smoke filled events
at the WhiteHouse. This leads most to assume Carter at least tried it at some point in life.
George W. Bush
Bush publicly refused to answer the marijuana question. He was later caught saying he refused to talk about it
“because I don’t want some little kid doing what I tried”.
Bill Clinton
Clinton famously stated that he smoked but “didn’t inhale”. He has been known to bend the truth every now and then,
so he still makes the list
Barack Obama
Even though he joked off many American’s wishes to legalize marijuana, Obama has been very open with his own marijuana
smoking in the past, once saying “I inhaled frequently. That was the point”.

Dying in an automobile accident caused by someone high on drugs is a painful and horrible way to die.It is also needless and paltry. If their is truly a medicinal value in THC,pharmaceutical companies should put in into a pill form so that it can be controlled. Pharmaceuticals need to be regulated for purity and for proper dosage.

Make it legal. Give it to the Progressives to run and have the Unions furnish the labor. Marijuana will be unaforadible and bankrupt in no time. Now thats a fact.

Pot is a pleasant waste of time, and probably not the healthiest one available--but certainly not the worst, and definitely not worth chasing down and imprisoning hundreds of thousands of Americans at high cost, in violation of the Bill of Rights's guarantee of liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Honestly, I think the only reason we haven't come to our senses is that we're still divided over the social changes of the 1960s, and pot is just a proxy for that old argument over race, gender, religion and military macho. So we keep paying billions of dollars and ruining thousands of lives to enforce bad laws.

Most who use it are wasted or wish that they were. I have worked with enough people who indulged over the years and they loose a portion of their true self while indulging.

Yeah, but give me the choice between dealing with an alcoholic or a pothead, and I'll take the pothead every time. At least they don't shoot up bars, start fights and drive cars into houses.

No one said that pot enhances productivity or personality. So what? Unless there is risk to me or my property, what my neighbor does with his or her free time is none of my business. I certainly don't want to spend billions to investigate, arrest, prosecute and jail them.

Americans spend billions of dollars on drugs that they could be spending on food, shelter, and personal conveniences. Marijuana smells almost a bad as the remnants of other drugs, your neighbors shouldn't have to live in a sewer because your don't have self restraint. We should be trying to clean up America for future generations.

Its cheaper to say no to drugs. If every one said no to drugs, illegal aliens would have not reason to smuggle them across borders. If everyone would just say no---drug gangs would have no one to sell them to. Just say no---save lives.

Come on, Frank. There are very dangerous drugs, but pot isn't one of them. Meanwhile, you seem a little obsessed about foreigners and disorder. No, I don't smoke pot, but I'm not willing to waste my tax dollars on a puritan's crusade that has already failed miserably, costing us billions, decade after decade.

I hate it. I think is distroys people like any other drug or ETOH, but it is so widely used that not supporting it is not going to make it go away, so make it as painful to the user as the user makes it to the people who love them. TAX THE HELL OUT OF IT!!!

Too many people believe the myth that smoking dope is not addictive. Too many also believe the myth that dope is not a gateway drug. The truth us that it not only stinks but it is a scourge upon future generations just like other drugs and social problems.
