I vote Oppose, because Somerset would be such a better community for everybody if there wasn't any drugs in the town. For kids, and adults.

Absolutely I support the legalization of Mj. The medical benefits alone are too enormous to overlook. The American people should be granted the right to grow their own, yet we're all dependent on the big pharmaceutical company's for our pain relief... The monetary profit they are making due to such is ENORMOUS! Makes you wonder WHO is actually blocking the door. If one of the pharmaceuticals could charge your insurance company $1000.00 a gram, this would already be a done deal. It's all a money game. Big business versus the little people..

I don't smoke but IMHO there's not a darn thing wrong with pot and I fully support its legalization.

Its ill-effects are negligible (certainly not as bad for a person as cigarettes, alcohol, or even regular meals at McDonald's), the various reasons for its criminalization are totally bogus (started a way to practice social control over minorities, poor folk, kids, etc., but like _-_Nope_-_ says, the money pharmaceutical companies would lose if it's legalized is one of the biggest factors behind its criminalization nowadays), and it'd be a boost to the economy.

I would support legalization. I personally do not see a problem with marijuana, I believe that people should be able to smoke it if they want too. People who do smoke it usually do not hurt anyone because they are smoking pot...I personally believe that it is better then dinking

Think of the profit margins to the Postal Service, LOL. Maybe they could stop raising the price of postage stamps every 6 months if they had more added income from transport, HA!

Wouldn't it be funny if marijuana were legalized in Somerset before liquor?

3/4 of Americans are using the product so may as well legalize it and collect the tax revenue. Get out of a ression with tax funding of Marijuana.

Probably 3/4 the population already use it, so may as well legalize it to get the revenue from taxes.
When you put alcohol sales up agianst Marijuana sales, I am thinking it would be a close race for #1 product sold in Somerset/Pulaski Co/ Kentucky.

We are wasting law enforcements' time, creating illegal drug networks, and using up prison space stupidly under the present pot laws.
Talk about cutting government spending, raising revenues, and redirecting it to more pressing problems; this is an obvious win/win situation.
But, I'm afraid good ol' Kentucky isn't ready to do that yet.

Gee Bucky, we agree on something! LOL! You're 100% correct in your assertion, IMO.
