wow leanna you really have no clue what your talking about. you say all that happens is sleepy and hungry...ok lets say someone is sleepy from the effects and then desides to drive? then what? if someone gets in front of them will they react fast enough? maybe you can be the test subject, you can jump in front of the vehicle and lets see if they stop, since you say it's no biggy? sound like a plan? the list of effects from this DRUG is way longer then just sleepy and hungry...but i'm just saying
they'll be going soooooooooo slow to enjoy the drive, they won't have to react. Besides, they couldn't hit anything if they tried. You people know nothing.........

better than alcohol, thats like saying being bitten by a rattle snake is better than being bitten by a king cobra. Get real dude, marijuan is a violent drug and always will be. It involves money and theft and lots of other crimes just like every other drug. it is the last step off of the clift and that is where it sounds like most of you are heading. Oh and by the way, some one clams that the God made it, well you might want to read the verse about weeds, and thorns. Give mee a break.

to review. Marijuana causes the heart rate to increase 20 to 50 beats per minute and even more with other drugs in the mix. This increases your risk of heart attack x4 for the first hour after use. You overweight, onset diabetic, middle aged Hispanics might want to keep this in mind!...Marijuana attacks the normal nerve development in foetuses so you can be sure your little bastard will be just like you, another retarded dropout to fit right into your screwed up world. It causes impaired judgement and slowed reaction time for the drive home if somebody in your family was able to afford to buy you a car. One joint of marijuana is equal to 100 unfiltered cigarettes and very likely to cause lung cancer in the long run. Even though you're a fat unemployed slob right now, at least when you die you'll be a stylish 47lb corpse, coughing up blood on your way to oblivion. I could go on, but most of you are too stupid to have read this far and I've already put way too much effort into it anyway........

McCarty (if thats who you really are) you dont have a lick of sense. Marijuana has some damn dangerous long term effects and that is a proven fact. Hell you need to pull your head out and get a life.

What a silly reply. There are literally thousands of over-the-counter pharmaceuticals which carry the side effect of causing drowsiness, none of them are demonized like this plant. The pharm industry rakes in billions annually via synthetic, highly addictive DRUGS (does capitalizing it effectively demonize the word for you in this context?) that are ridiculously more harmful for physical and mental health than marijuana. It's 2010... time to look at science rather than propaganda. In a world where people die daily due to alcohol and tobacco abuse (not to mention the "OK" drugs like caffeine filled sodas and others which contribute to obesity and heart disease - a much bigger killer than marijuana which kills no one) it's a shame that people cling to old wives' tales.
Or, keep on making it the boogie man and watch South American drug cartels continue to kill thousands of innocent civilians and become wealthy beyond imagination. All of this simply because 70 years ago someone decided that "feeling funny" is not good for society and the medical benefits and industrial benefits of marijuana/hemp need to be swept under the rug in favor of other cash crops and money making corporations. Continue forcing people who suffer from migraines to associate with criminals in order to obtain something they simply want to use in their home rather than synthetic painkillers which wreak havoc on the human system and become addictive. What a shame that in 2010 we're still too simple-minded to realize that the monster under the bed isn't really there.

"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world." - Carl Sagan, American astrophysicist

try smoking the equivalent of 100 unfiltered cigarrettes a day and explain to me how that has no cancer causing chemicals and maybe a little touch of emphysema waiting for you soon. You'll look good with that green bottle and plactic tubing on your walker. Maybe paint some flames on it to look cool. You're kidding, right?...
