I smoke Marijuana to mask and relieve the pains from leg surgeries and an amputation. It makes my legs stop burning and stinging so I can feel normal, and relax. It helps me sleep. Helps me eat when nothing sounds good....and it does a great gob fighting Bordom.....

It should be available for medicine. And let's stop wasting time and money putting people through the system for it. Take it off the black market.

It's good for general health

Teens are the main dealers. The only way to stop teens from dealing and get real jobs is to legalize it. Then at least teens would get it from adults, rather than the reverse.

For many of the reasons we need to legalize pot and all other drugs, search AssociatedContent.com for A Resolution Regarding Marijuana (for the Josephine County Commissioners. There are 25 speeches on the subject at this time, starting with the Biblical case, and continuing with the practical case.

I agree it is quite useful for certain medical reasons. I have used it for many years after 23 surgeries and lots of fake parts. I have lots of pain and nausea and it works for both better than chemical drugs which make me sick and wired.
However, I don't agree that anyone with a backache should get it. And they do need to come up with a way to control the growers who take it out of state to sell it. Young people with too much money and no respect on earning it. They are getting pretty haughty with themselves and all that money. I am thinking it would be better to just be completely legal and take out the whole "drug dealer" factor. Definitely would rather have MJ legal over cigarettes any day. We need our resources to fight the drug cartels that are destroying our pristine forests, not go after pot heads who already take care of the land. |

I feel that it is a matter of personal freedom as a Vet. I,m a shamed that we have done so much harm to so many people in the name of protecting them. As if they and there children are stupid. Those who make thier living off of the suffering of others should be a shamed of themselves.

i think it is a good ideal to legalize weed in oregon

I use it to help with bad arthritis.
But also, it is a good influence if good is your goal. Contributes to peace and an awareness of my place in the natural scheme of life. Love it and don't feel it's any of the government's business. |

I cannot support the legalization of any substance that helps a person escape from reality. Healthy people live clean and sober. Choose health, not dope.

It's a psychoactive drug. It is not a curative drug, it is a brain deadener that helps people forget they hurt. I can do that with booze. Why would a doctor with any ethics prescribe that? If you have pain and claim you must have marijuana, then why not work with a prescription version of it? That would take the growers, who are really out to make money and/or get high and they don't care a hoot about you. Take the illegal part out and put the medical part in. But I still say, no drugs. Choose health, choose clean and sober. No drugs.

I have suffered from chronic pain for over 10 years. I have medical copies to prove this.
I thought I would try to get my foot in the door since this whole marijuana cloud will be floating over southern oregon for a while. I went to a clinic and was told that they could not help me unless I paid them $50 at the least. What I dont understand is if these crooks are really "out to help people in pain", why cant they help me? I haven't used pot in over 7 years. I recently tried it, and to my disbelief, it actually did help my chronic pain. And, I might add, I have OHP. Come on Southern Oregon, you gave me health insurance, I suffer from pain DAILY, where can I go to get the help I need and deserve? I cannot pay cash because I am unemployed. I thought this was to help people, not for profit. I guess I was wrong. If anyone can prove me wrong and help me find a clinic that will accept my insurance instead of cash, I will be a new man! |
