Pointless to make something harmless illegal....

How many fatal traffic accidents been caused by marijuana use as compared to alcohol usage.

Marijana is not going away. It being illegal is terribly costly in all respects. If it is legalized it would free up considerable room in the prisons and free up law enforcement for serious crimes. Medical marijuana is a must for those who are sick. It helps them. Why should alcohol and cigarettes be legal but not marijana?

With proven beneficial side effects for a number of health issues M.E. in example, it is certainly not as bad as some of the other things we do to ourselves alcohol being the example in this case.

Marijuana laws came about strictly as a way to mass deport pot-smoking Mexican migrant workers from the fields in S. Calif back in the 30's so there would be work for the Okies escaping the dust bowl. There were 1000's of Oakies pouring into Calif with nowhere to put them. Out of desperation, a pot law was tacked together to give reason to send troops in to oust 1000's of Mexicans and funnel Oakies in. Ever sense then lie upon top of lie has been fabricated to keep that law strengthened as it is a way to incarcerate as many Americans as possible, for as we know, prisons are a big business. Just calculate how many are in now solely for pot. By the way, there is NO such thing as a gateway drug. That was a lie too.

LOL Funny how everyone is comparing marijuana to alcohol or cigarettes. Has anyone taken the time to read some of the side effects of Rx drugs. Pots has far fewer and less detrimental side effects than many "legal" drugs. Want an instant high take 2 OTC allergy pills with a shot of 100+ proof alcohol on an empty stomach!!

I lived in Michigan and was a Medical Marijuana patient. I have severe chronic pain nothing eased the pain in stress like medical cannabis.This medicine should be provided in every state.

Why does the government think it has the right to tell anyone what kind of plants they can grow?

it does no harm to the body that smokes it and its helped alot of pacents that are anirecsic and or have cancer, i strongly believe that if it gets legalize that this world be a better generation for our kids, growing up aroundd it and knowing that its legalized, doesn't have the same effect that when its against the law.
