Put the pipe away, get some oxygen to your brain and look again. YOUR mindset is what's slowing the legalization for medical use only. You want to throw open the doors and sell MJ on the street corners from push carts and be legal to smoke anywhere or anytime and without jobsite testing. Mark my words,it ain't gonna happen in our lifetime! Get over it! Twisting words is what a Neo-Nazi does.

She is a UCF graduate, retired real estate executive, President of The Compassionate Cure Foundation, Inc., past Secretary of MOM’s Club of Orlando-Conway, Inc., Orange County Republican Executive Committeewoman and Campaign for Liberty Coordinator. Her mission is to educate people on alternative medicine while providing them legal access to medical cannabis. http://www.pufmm.org This is a worthy group to support. I have been a member for 2 years and have personally met and talked to founder, Kim Russell about this important issue. Her father suffers from Parkinson's disease and although illegal, he uses marijuana to greatly alleviate the debilitating symptoms of his disease. I urge you to contribute to this worthwhile organization as I have. Together we can work to legislate common sense reform in Florida. I can see you campaigning for legalization of MJ for MEDICAL USE ONLY but your advocating to open the doors and throw out all the restrictions for recreational use overshadow your efforts. Why not put your efforts to good use and come up with a foolproof regulation of approved farm grown product to trace every ounce grown and sold just like the distilleries have to account for their product. People want the government to tax pot like liquor but that will double the price with the stairstep tax system of tax on tax. Come up with a plan for that. Now come up with mandantory PRISON sentences for handling homegrown untaxed product just like the moonshiners get when they get caught by the revenuers. No one has ever said that you can't smoke. You are free to get wasted, get drunk, speed, steal, have unprotected sex and cheat on your taxes, but in any of these situations, there is a price to pay when you get caught. When you do,a real man will take his medicine and won't blubber and whine about fairness.

Think wrote: Conservative golden boy, Chris Christie, yesterday spoke out against the war on drugs. Politics makes strange bedfellows. Up until just recently, Christie was on the short list as Romney's VP choice.Ironic, as Romney is a hard core drug war advocate and friend of big Pharma (#3 ranking as recipient of contributions from big Pharma behind Obama and Orrin Hatch). Back to Christie..here is what he had to say yesterday to the Brookings Institute.... "The war on drugs, while well-intentioned, has been a failure, "We're warehousing addicted people every day in state prisons in New Jersey, giving them no treatment" the Repubican New Jersey Goveror said. Christie continued "We're warehousing addicted people every day in state prisons in New Jersey, giving them no treatment. If you're pro-life, as I am, you can't be pro-life just in the womb. Every life is precious and every one of God's creatures can be redeemed, but they won't if we ignore them." It costs us $49,000 a year to warehouse a prisoner in New Jersey state prisons last year. A full year of inpatient drug treatment costs $24,000 a year." Wow, Chris Christie agrees with liberals on the drug war-I admire him for thinking outside of the box instead of following party line. A politician that actually speaks his conscience...I respect that in any political party. You've got people in prison that want help and those who are against everything good in society. There are professionals there to evaluate the good guys and the ones who only put on a good show to hit the streets and return to their old ways. Then you have the pond scum of society that need warehousing for the rest of their lives.

Think wrote: The US needs to look south for policy direction on the failed policies of prohibition- In 2009 Mexico decriminalized personal possession of cocaine, heroine, LSD and pot. The same year Argentina's Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional to punish people for personal use of marijuana. A Brazilian appellate court also ruled that possession for personal use was not illegal. In 2009, the Latin American Commission on Drugs and Democracy denounced current policy as an expensive and deadly failure. Members took the public lead, advocating decriminalizing drug use. More recently Presidents Laura Chinchilla and Mauricio Funes of Costa Rica and El Salvador, respectively, urged reform of strict drug laws and discussion of legalization as an alternative. Earlier this year Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina, an anti-communist general who campaigned against crime, said the drug war had failed and that "consumption and production should be legalized." He added: "We're bringing the issue up for debate." He pushed the idea at a meeting of Central American leaders and at the April Summit of the Americas, attended by President Barack Obama. In June Uruguay's President Jose Mujica proposed legislation to legalize marijuana. The government would sell marijuana to citizens, with revenues used for drug treatment and rehabilitation. Roughly five percent of the population, about 150,000, is thought to smoke marijuana regularly. President Mujica explained: "We are doing this for the young people, because the traditional approach hasn't worked." Good point, but their are entirely too many brainwashed puppets to allow that to happen in this country. The other problem with this strategy is that it makes too much sense. No way our government will allow us to freedom of choice.

You're free to do as you please but you have to remember there are ramifications for certain behavior and you have to put on your big boy britches to make the right choices and not walk yourself off a cliff. You and people like Think are advocating anytime anywhere legality for recreational use of MJ and it's going to a long row to hoe. Controlled use for medical problems may happen in the near future nationwide but that's all we will see in our lifetime.

It's what happens AFTER they do it and not wasting the common sense that GOD gave us by screwing up their future trying to get past places that will not tolerate it's use. It's not going to allow getting blitzed and heading out to the Krystal at midnite for munchies and being involved in an accident. You will wind up in a contribulatory neglegence case even though someone hits you because it's still your fault if you're impared. The officer on the scene can make that determination and order tests. Pee tests will still be around for Monday morning surprises. Anytime anywhere is still a long way off. You've got a better chance of winning the lottery that getting all the laws dropped and the prison doors swung open.
