I believe in hemp to be a wonderful medicine it helps the mind relax and help people with chronic pain like my self have relief for less then half the price. People need to understand that weed is probably the least of any bodys worries. Weed smoking individuals are spending huge sentences in prison while others who like pedophiles get a slap on the rist if that's what our American justice system sees as "Justice" then honestly we have a huge problem .

So what you are saying is that those who partake in the consumption of alcohol don't work real jobs and aren't productive members of society? Get real.....
Simple fact: You can drink at night and sober up before work but since there is no 100% accurate test to determine when you smoked MJ, having it in your system during working hours on the premises will get you fired if your company is a drug free work zone and busts you at a random pee test. You can't be a productive citizen if you are looking for a good job with a drug related dismissal on your work record. The choice is yours.

What's done to working people, should be done to Senators state and federal. Equality is proven by GOD. Why don't these power-addicted lusters in offices say out loud we are their slaves?

So is sugar and corn. You mix'em up,fermit and distill. It's all illegal so what's your point. Do you enjoy being paranoid and always having to look over your shoulder to see who is watching you? Do you need a rap sheet for bragging rights?

Yes i do support marijauna legalization because they could tax it so it would help with the debt thing and taxes and it is not harmful it is used for alot of major diseases and there are alot worse things out there then a plant.

The laws may change for medical use to offset side effects from cancer treatment and for simple "POSSESSION" but it will be a long time coming to make it legal to "USE" outside the medical field. Until the government drops requirements for workman's comp insurance and gereral liability in the workplace, companies will be able to declare their premises a "drug free workzone" and fire you for having it in your system on their time and on their premises. In the crowded job market, a drug related dismissal on your work record isn't going to get you past the " thank you for your application" point. The future is yours.

Some people come home and unwind with a beer or a glass of wine, I like to smoke a little weed. I find it relaxing. I have no desire to do any other drugs, I've had friends offer me pills, this does not interest me. I don't think its a gateway drug. Why is it some people can get their fix with alcohol or their prescription meds, yet I cannot get mine? Btw I do not smoke it anymore due to the fact that I may lose my job over it.

Smart thinking! People don't realize that getting fired for testing positive stays on your permanent records. Many companies (mine too) use the professional background search companies when hiring people and those vultures can dig stuff out of your past that even you have forgotten about. Pop a beer and stay legal. Peace!

-Probably because the body can digest the alcohol in hours but THC metabolites can stay in your system for
Up to 90 days if you are a heavy user.

Speaking from a completely medical standpoint, marijuana should be made legally available to those who could benefit from its' use. My mom is a terminal kidney patient and smoking marijuana is the only remedy for her chronic nausea and pain. It is not harmful to the kidneys as prescription pills are. I know that smoking weed brings images of Cheech and Chong...irresponsible,tie-dye wearing slackers,to many folks. Informed citizens know that marijuana has many medicinal purposes with few side-effects. "Killing brain cells" is a poor arguement. Alcohol and prescription pills kill brain cells. How many people do you know that drink every day or have to pop pills in order to function? People need to stop being hipocrites and become informed. There is not a shred of medical evidence that says the use of marijuana causes cancer or any other long-term negative side-effects. But did you know that prolonged use of Ibuprofin can destroy your kidneys and liver? And what about all of these pills kids are taking for "ADD" and "ADHD", etc.? Kids are hooked on drugs before they turn 18. THIS is what should worry us. Not marijuana.

My understanding is that the cigarette companies in the US made weed illegal a few years back, so they could eliminate any chance of competition with a weed market.

So the crime the marijuana plant committed was to threaten the jobs of the directors in the cigarette companies.

Ron Paul in OKC. today...

[He told the crowd that the “war on drugs” hasn't worked and that people should be allowed to have personal responsibility in what they choose to put in their bodies. The drug war has cost the country about $4 trillion in the last 50 years, Paul said.

“Guess what? There's still a lot of bad drugs out there, there's a lot of addictions,” he said.“I don't like the idea of saying drug addiction is a crime.”

Drug abuse should be treated as a disease, he said. Treatment should be given in most cases instead of incarceration.

“Prescription drugs are a bigger problem than the illegal drugs,” Paul said.]

Thanks for your knowledge.

Here is what I found.

Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people.

The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies.

Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp plant...as you will read. The facts cited here, with references, are generally verifiable in the Encyclopedia Britannica which was printed on hemp paper for 150 years:
