It's a drain on the economy to be following archaic rules that take away a persons freedom of choice.

I wouldn't really mind as long as they put an age limit on it, like 21! I don't want my 16 year old to be able to get ahold of it no prob!

That is pathetic! It is a drug and it is illegal and should remain illegal. The only people that want it legalized are the people that are doing it...and most of you are probably parents.

I have never smoked it and never will! I just think that it is a waste of time for police to have to arrest someone over it, police have a lot better things to do you know!!!

Yes I support the legalization of marijuana use. Responsible adults will do what they want to do legal or not, so make it legal and get some tax funds also. Or grow your own.

I know one thing. A lot of people are going to lose their jobs, or wind up in rehab. Alcohol is leagal, but if you test positive for it at most work establishments you wind up in rehab for 30 days. And continued abuse, they show you the door. And if they legalize pot, yes, it is legal, but your work place is still going to test for alcohol and pot. So a lot of habitual alcohol and drug users should start searching for new jobs that don't test for drugs and alcohol. And from what I am reading here, it seems that most already have loser jobs that don't care what their employees do ie, Walmart,Wawa,Royal Farms etc.,etc.

What's it matter if someone works at royal farms or wal mart, they have a job and are contributing to society. So whether you work at wall street, or wawa, you're doing what you have to do to pay bills. You can't live without people that have those jobs. You go grocery shopping, someone had to stock those shelves. You get coffee at wawa, someone had to brew your cup. You should be ashamed of yourself.

By decriminalizing recreational drug use we eliminate the criminal aspect. We can regulate, tax, and control sales, while taking the profit money from organized crime.

It's here. The correctional facilities are overflowing with trivial non-violent crimes. They need to have more focus on violent offenders. The same way that alcohol was once prohibited. Make it legal. Put taxes and regulations on it. No I do not smoke marijuana. Health care benefits are a fact. Morphine is also illegal but is used in health care. Marijuana has no where near those affects but is not allowed to be used. No you don't want the entire public to be smoking it all the time just like you don't want the entire public to be drunk all the time.

Well, maybe I should of put a different spin on my comments. I was a bit harsh. But I do think that if they do legalize marijuna, then I believe the work places that do not have a drug policy in place, will eventually adopt a test procedure. I know there are good, reliable, and concientious employees in all work scenarios, whether you earn $20,000 or $200,000 a year. I am sorry I upset you!

DAH!! So no matter where you work, the guidelines would be different! And for you to make comments about "loser jobs" - at least people WORK!!
