So all you that think it should be legal would be okay with smoking a joint with there child?
With my adult child who is old enough to vote, die for his country, buy cigarettes and tobacco, drink alcohol, gamble, and watch porno movies?
Sure, why not?
I have, on a few occasions, had a beer or two with my father, and I don't believe dire consequences ensued because of that.
If it was at the discretion of my adult, american citizen offspring, I would have no problem with it in the slightest.
And I don't understand why I should be against the idea.
My (adult)son and (adult)daughters have all the rights and freedoms that I do, and I like it that way.

It will be legalized when the govt can regulate and assure the tax base. How can they stop people from growing their own? Price would have to be cheap enough to offset potential penalties on home growers. Hey dude... I've got the munchies!

By arresting drug dealers and smokers, the smokers are already passing it down to other people who will take their place, so i believe it should be legal because they are not getting anywhere whatsoever.

I work full time. I am in college. I am married with children and I smoke. Not around my kids of course. They have absolutely no idea. just want to point that out. but if they did catch me smoking i would simply say this: I use to think that it was nasty and something that only nasty peole did but after i tried it i understood why people smoke it. Its not about being high it just takes the edge off. Like a perscription for depression would or alcohol. AND you dont lose contol of your body like when you are drunk. Many of my friends are paramedics and none of them have ever been on a call where weed was the cause of an accident, etc. In a few years weed, pot, bud, mary jane, the best thing ever to get you to sleep, what calms me down, etc. will be legal. soon enough it will be just like alcohol (even though the two are nothing alike). To be honest i dont understand why people look at weed as a bad thing. to get high you actually overdose on it but if you just take a small hit then it just calms you down. just like a persciption would. just control you need for it and it is fine. responsibility is the key. lets all just calm down roll a blunt and enjoy life together. peace.

Well put, and thanks for the facts "ozark moose". People against the weed are usually uneducated about this so called drug. The war on it is pathetic. Get educated people! There are alot bigger fish to fry......

Marijuana is (if you disregard it current legality) the United States number one cash crop. If it were legal, it could be regulated like alcohol and tobacco, and make for billions in extra tax revenue. Our prisons would not be so full of harmless marijuana uses, and dealers. We could have room for REAL criminals. We could spend less on the budgets of prisons, due to a lower population density (most the time a parolee or someone probation slip up and have to go the prison, it's due to smoking marijuana). Police can focus their attention on busting REAL drugs and dealers, like meth dealers and methlabs, and focus on trying to stop the traffic of harsh drugs that really have a negative impact on people and society. The industry would create jobs. The extra parts of the plant could be used to make paper. It grows a whole lot faster than trees, so forest can be saved from making paper. Heck, you can make clothing outta hemp aswell. It has plenty of medical benefits. It is less harmful on people and society, than alcohol and tobacco. There is alot of false witness to the plant. One marijuana cigarette does NOT have the same amount of tar has 10-20 tabacco cigarettes, in fact it's the opposite. Did you know that Big tobacco, alcohol, private prison systems, law enforcement agencies, and others, spend millions a year to keep our politicians bought off in order to keep it illegal, becuase it would cut into their profit margin. The benefits of it being illegal far outweight any negatives.

Amd another thing the real gateway drugs and alcohol and tobacco. Most drug users start with alcohol and or tobacco. Also, billions of US dollars are put into the hands of the mexican cartels every year due to the governments pointless war on pot. If it were legal those billions would stay right here. Imagine how much that would hurt the cartels. I think it would hurt them enough that they may already have bought off some members of congress to try and keep it illegal.

cocaine grows. Crack cocaine's components can be found in occurring naturally as well as heroin's. I can't thing of one drug that was brought in from space. As a gateway drug a pot smoker with a steady supply of marijuana has no need to move on. The same can be said for the ever -present Missouri mountain meth-man. Responsibe use is my concern.

I learned in my college psychology book that there are receptors in our brains specifically for THC, nothing else will fit there. I believe that marijuana should have the same legal status as alcohol. Just because it's legal does not mean YOU have to do it, nor do I for that matter, but it's a choice available to those who would choose to use it. I believe it is safer for you than alcohol, which actually kills people. No one has died from marijuana consumption alone in the history of man. So I figure, what the hey, eliminate some drug dealers in the process, tax it like cigarettes, stimulate the economy with jobs, and provide a non-lethal, non-addictive alternative to alcohol all at the same time... Sounds like a win-win-win-win to me...

pot for medicinal purposes is ok but not for recreational use. many people who use it regularly are more likely to suffer from depression and mental and emotional issues because they are addicted to the feeling. they don't know how to enjoy life w/out it. it also causes memory loss, sometimes severe. i've known people who started smoking it a few times a week, and w/in a few months they couldn't remember things that had happened to them before they started pot. not just the bad memories but good ones too. and they had no desire to do anything, but smoke pot. also, some dealers lace that stuff w/chemicals to make it stronger. i think your best bet is just to leave it all alone.
Sex is ok too, but not for recreational use. Like the good book says spill not your seed upon the ground. Now when it's used for procreation between a man and his property (wife only) it will be sanctioned by the state and the church hierarchy, even blessed. The rest can land you in jail.

Same with this roll your own business, not enough profit in it for either the state, church or the wealthy overseers like your Republican candidates for President. Legalized, taxed and properly sold at 200 to 300% markups plus tax for something that you could have grown, rolled and used for free, well that's the American way. Some other countries call it Capitalism. If you don't like then get out.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Virgo

It's a rather low-key day with a few disappointments to cope with along the way. If you were looking forward to a social event, such as meeting up with friends, it may fail to live up to your expectations. It might even be delayed or postponed through no fault of your own. There could also be problems about how much something is going to cost, forcing you to scale down your plans to make them more affordable.
