It is our Constitutional right supported by the 9th amendment. we retain rights that can not be taken away as long as they do not hurt others. The marijuana laws are outdated and based on false information provided over 75yrs ago. It's time to take a stand!

I believe that if we legalize it and tax it then we would boost our economy so much..so many people do it and go to jail for it and its just filling up our jails for no reason

Okay it's simple, marijuana is safer than beer and cigarettes. It doesn't need to be illegal.

Even if it was legalized and taxed, the abusers would still steal to get it because most do not work, therefore have no money to buy it. Legalization doesnt settle/help anything.

Okay so how is it that all these drug dealers are making money? Maybe because people give them money for the plant don't you think? So instead of money going into drug dealers pockets, it would go into the government or whatever. And besides, the people who steal usually get caught but who cares. At least the government would be making more money that way our economy can boost up a little bit :p Plus, people who sell weed WOULDN'T be making money. They'd have to find something else to sell haha

if it was to become legal it would free up a massive amount of jail space which could be used for low income housing ,it would boost the economy ,lower the crime rate and people could just be mellow without breaking a law. and Ky would be the riches state in the unoin again lol

Marijuana is not a drug,(although it is registerd as one) it is a plant and nothing more. Well lets see tobacco is a plant, and its legel. You see these two differnt plants are very much alike. Tobacco grows a flower on top of the plant, that is cut off for it to grow larger, marijuana also grows a flower(along with other flowers known mostly as buds) on top that is cut of for the very same reason. Then harvest time comes, tobacco plants are cut down and then hung up to dry, marijuana is also cut doan and hung up to dry. In fact the only differance in the tobacco plant and the marijuana plant is that when its drying period is over, tobacco leaves are stripped from the stalk and compressed into bails and then sold to major tobacco companies, on the other hand when marijuana's drying period is up the flowers(buds) are removed from the plant and trimmed of any leaves that might be stuck to them. So instead of smoking the harsh leaves of tobacco, why not legalize this delicate flower, that taste, smells, and feels just right.

and i wanted to say one thing about the comment above, most people that are breaking into houses and stealing shit, they arent doin it for the flower there doin it for herion, coke, meth, pills, and stupid shit like that, which has HIGHLY ADDICTIVE chemicals and who knows what else in it that keeps the users coming back for more and more. Look up the facts see how highly addictive marijuana is, cause i think youll be suprised at what you find. and as a user myself i jus want to let you kno that i do not currently have a job, and i dont steal shit and if i cant afford it then guess what i dont get it. and i most deffintly do not abuse it i love this plant and abuse is out of the question:) so have a nice day!!

oh and dont hate the plant hate the creator if its so damn bad

Most people usually move on to the harder stuff once they build a tolerance to weed. Doesnt matter how you look at it, legalization isnt an answer either. It isnt a vital species of "plant" so why not just do away with it completely? Let the abusers go cold turkey. People that mostly argue in favor of legalization are abusers anyway. The other small faction are people who use it for medical purposes.

thats not a good argument at all and its a myth that its a gateway drug come on this is 2010 update your studies. at least nobody will die from it. just legalize it so our economy can have some more money.

Of course i support the legalization of marijuana for the simple fact that if everyone smoked weed instead of drinkin or snortin 80's an tabs an vics an percs an so on an so forth, the world would be a lot better. A simple high, followed by an adverse effect of hunger, aka da munchies, is all that is recieved from weed. alot bettter than not bein able to walk straight or pill residue slidin out your nose. jus SMOKE WEED. it better for you.

You would be extremely surprised at the amount of regular working folks that smoke marijuana. Many more have jobs than not. As far as stealing, I have yet to meet a "pothead" who steals for the habit. Smokers are known for kindness, caring, sharing, and loving those around them along with Mother Earth(The "Pusher"). Most marijuana smokers are more respectable than those nasty cigarette smokers who like to leave their trash lay everywhere, excluding the few of those whom are respectable.

College students are losing grants and loans if they are convicted of pot & underage alcohol, and if they do graduate Kelly Services will pull 200 hairs out of their head for a drug test for a position that the student got, only to be fired from Kelly Services for a year for admitting they smoked a little pot in College!

yes it's from the earth pure and natural. the drugs from the doctors are man made in a lab with all numerous side effects. mary jane just calms you down. you never see on the news where someone got high and killed someone else. thats not true with manmade drugs.
