Legalize it, control it just like alcohol, and tax the crap out of it. Will there be problems including addiction, lost productivity, and even deaths? Of course! But the economic costs of those things are outweighed by the national and global costs of fighting it as an illegal crop/substance. If all recreational activities (yes, it's recreational - the medical benefits argument is weak) that had similar death and productivity loss profiles were made illegal, then skiing and snowboarding, driving cars on vacation, swimming, drinking alcohol, watching TV, eating junk food, etc. should all be outlawed.

If we just sat here and did nothing, nothing would happen. We could have every one learn the truth and stop the judging. The brass tax is that the federal goverment dose not want to diss band it war on drugs. All the money spent an this fight on MJ is pointless. Focks on the hard stuff. MJ never killed any one. Through out the acohil and tobacco for MJ. Tax it just the same way. It comes down to greed and who wants to stay rich.

In a 2010 report by the Common Sense for Drug Policy Organization, the American annual causes of death were classified under the following categories:
Tobacco Related 430,700 Alcohol Related 110,640 Prescription Drugs 32,000 Suicide 30,575 Homicide 18,272 Drug Induced Deaths 16,926 NSAID’s (such as Aspirin) 7,600 Marijuana 0 deaths
Before you start to wonder about the veracity of the figures above, you should be aware that no one has ever been officially declared dead from direct or indirect marijuana consumption.
