Marijuana is not an addicting drug. I have never heard of any one being violent,kill or die from this drug, unlike all these man made drugs like cocaine and heroin.We need to focus more on getting them off the street. Thank You.

While marijuana may be illegal, I believe that the effects of alcohol are alot worse and alcohol is legal. I believe that people are being forced to choose alcohol because marijuana is illegal. I also believe that a person can smoke responsibly if a person can drink responsibly. Furthermore, marijuana is a natural herb and should not be considered a true drug. Cocaine and heroine are man made narcotic drugs.

Not only could it be taxed and controlled but it would allow the use of hemp on a large scale just as other countries do.

I'm a combat vet with chronic severe PTSD. Marijuana helps so much more than anti-depressants or anti-psychotics.

I agree with Joe a drunk driver will run a stop sign and kill somebody.... somebody high on weed will sit at the stop sign and wait for it to turn green.I smoke occasional when I hunt and I'm so much more alert to everything.

How about shutting down the biggest drug dealers.. The doctors prescribing all these addictive prescription pills. Everyone I have ever known on these pills were completely worthless. The pills make it so you cant do normal functions.. You know most people on these pills don't work.. And if they do.. The wont work long.

Wow you're obviously ignorant. I don't mean this as an insult either, just that you are misinformed. There have been no fatalities as a result of marijuana. Those are just facts!

I am 100% for legalization. Pot is much safer than alcohol or tobacco.

It is natural herb from the Earth, it should certainly be regulated....but definitely legal too. How can alcohol be legal and marijuana not?
Look up your facts.....deaths per year related to;
Tobacco
Alcohol
Prescription drugs
Other drugs
Now, how many with marijuana as the cause. Our country can be so insanely close minded.
Not to mention that these idiot politicians have managed to get our country to far in debt that legalizing marijuana could make huge money through taxing it (which is enivitable if it were ever legalized).

It's no worse than alcohol, matter a fact, alcohol is worse. It kills people! You can die from drinking so much... You can't die from smoking to much. I mean they have cigs & alcohol legal... What's the difference??

Shouldn't take this long to realize the war on cannabis is not working. It's not harmful compare to most stuff that you can buy out there. There are medicinal benefits- I have severe back problem and was in a wheel chair for two week. Been prescribe hydrocoton and some other pain killer...( read the side effects of these drug ) but found out cannabis work best for my pain 3 years ago . It help me be as close to the old me as possible. The lower back pain that I live with everyday turn me into a lazy, out of focus and lifeless person but cannabis change it all. Why lock people up for something so harmless. I used to be one of those people that disdains DRUG - any ! I don't care if is considered a drug don't count me in. The more I research the more I support legalization.
