Marijuana Debate - Henderson, NV

Cannabis has a recorded 8,000 year history in medicinal, spiritual and recreational use. It's only been in the last 76 years that mankind has been denied the use of this wonderful miracle plant created by God God.

I take it for medical reasons. But I think that legalization of it will help alot of people. You don't hear of accentends for smoking but if you drink and drive someone will be killed.

I support legalization, because it could be taxed and the revenue generated could go to giving our children good eductions and making our schools safer for them. Also, if it is legalized, you take out the criminal element of it, so if anyone wanted to partake, they wouldn't have to necessarily go to an undesirable and unsafe area of the city or town to acquire it.

The medicinal benefits far outweigh the fabricated risks.

smoking pot is less harmful than drinking and can even prevent brain damage when combined with drinking as opposed to drinking alone

I don't get high but I believe that adults should be able to make their own choices about using weed for their own purposes. It's far safer than alcohol and actually has many PROVEN benefits. Alcohol is a poison with no benefits. Legalize, tax, and control weed and redirect the funds that are spent on law enforcement to better uses.

Prohibition didn't work for alcohol and its not working today. Cannabis is a safer alternative.

People deserve safer LOCAL access to cannabis. Regulation of cannibis will take revenue from illeagle and violent drug cartels, and put it back into communities. Research has been done proving cannabinoids prevent/treat certain cancers. Much less harmful than alcohol, tobacco and even aspirin.
