legalization will help save our economy- and, it makes you feel good.....

Legalizing Marijuana wont lead to more people smoking it. It will lead to less crime associated with it, and will prevent non-criminals from being jailed (along with the associated costs). A lesson can be applied to this subject by studying prohibition. Get pot out in the open and the youngsters wont see it as a big deal. I encourage everybody to use common sense when dealing with this issue. It's time....

Yes they should legalize pot

Legalizing a drug is legalizing insanity and crime of all kinds.

We have enough morons drunk driving. Do we really need people high on drugs driving around putting our families at risk?

Studies show that states that have legalized medical marijuana saw fewer traffic deaths.

So studies so that people under the influence of drugs cause less accidents or just that the people who have medicinal purposes for the use of marijuana are just responsible and don't operate vehicles under the influence?

First of all, I am not understanding why drunk driving is related to legalizing weed... it isn't right, but the truth is, unfortunately people are going to drive under the influence of alcohol and/or weed no matter if it is legal or not. Furthermore, even if weed is legalized, it doesn't mean that it will make it legal to drive under the influence of weed. Second of all, what does child abuse have to do with marijuana? Child abuse is a completely different subject! If you support the legalization of pot, cool...if not, cool... We all have a right to have an opinion, but let's not get carried away here and drag in other subjects/situations that are not relevant to this discussion. Come on people! PS- I could care less about weed being legal. It is something I had smoked for years, and never had any hallucinations etc. with. In fact, in my opinion, alcohol is more dangerous! It is also something that I haven't smoked in years...and I haven't had any addiction problems, or temper issues. I am a wonderful mommy and member of society. At least I do my best, which is more than can be said about a lot of people. Smoking pot never destroyed or made my life, it never influenced other aspects of my life, it was just something fun to do with friends...just like grabbing a drink. Responsibility and the abilit to make good decisions is found in a person's morals and personlity- no matter if they are sober or not. IT IS JUST WEED.

Drugs and alcohol are both substances that cause people to have a lack of proper judgement. I was stating that we already have morons cruising around drunk, we don't need to legalize drugs now so that people can be under the influence of drugs in addition to alcohol. It's my opinion. I'm entitled. I'm sure your kids would be oh so proud of their mommy if they ever hear that you used to recreationally use illegal drugs! Somehow bragging about being a good mommy in the same sentence as fessing up to having used illicit drugs just doesn't make you sound so wonderful!

Do you truly believe you can honestly judge something you have never tried? If it wasn't for weed my sister would probably be using a feeding tube and be almost an invalid right now. After 2 major strokes at 38 years old she couldn't eat or drink easily as it damaged her esophagus and all muscles around it. The docs tried her on weed and after 6 months she could eat without throwing everything up. More people drive every day after smoking then you'll ever know. I have never heard of a weed smoker killing someone with their car. Do some research you have no idea what you are talking about.

"In the study, published in the medical journal BMJ, researchers reviewed information on 10,748 drivers who were involved in fatal car crashes and took required tests for drugs and alcohol.
Twice as many drivers involved in fatal car accidents tested positive for marijuana compared with a group of other drivers." |
