NO. not like we already have enough pot heads and druggies in this town. We dont need reason for more! What is happening to our town! Lets just get all the mommies and daddies hooked of pot and then their children have easier access to it. Gee that's smart. Ugh! Pot is a gateway drug that leads to other things and other drug habits and addictions. Like we dont have enough people on welfare as it is. Legalizing it only gives people another reason to sit at home on the asses and do nothing but get high! Have some respect for yourself and your family. Would you allow your child to smoke it? I hope not. Grow up and get a Job with a real income.

You are clueless. I work a full time job smoke and smoke weed at least three times a day I make good money so don't say that smoking makes you lazy.

Making marijuana legal would b best for our economy. We would b out of debt in 7 years, fact. People should read statistics on things before u go leaving comments and making yourself look uneducated. Marijuana is not a gateway drug, proven fact. Here's some more facts:-Cigarettes kill 435,000 people per year
-Alcohol kills 150,000/year, not counting drunk driving
-Over the counter tylenol, aspirin, ibuprofen, ect. kills
7,600/year
-Marijuana has never had not a single recorded death, ever
The two main killers are legal only because they are profitable. I do not smoke pot.

It amazes me that people seem to think just because it is illegal it means its harmful. The only reason it is illegal is because they cannot agree on how to make it legal. As Facts said, not one case has ever been reported that weed has killed someone. Now a days we are allowing people to manufacture things like K2 and Mr. Nice Guy which is being advertised to people as a supplimental weed that is legal. When in reality it is killing people left and right. Why not allow the real thing, which doesnt kill people, become legal? I will be the first to admit I smoke weed on a daily basis. I feel like I am a very productive individual. I have a college degree in Business and I also own my own business in Columbus which does really well. I would much rather come home and smoke a bowl or two before I would take xanax or any other mind altering drug which makes me sluggish and lazy all day long. Just because things are legal doesnt mean they are good for you either.

also just because it may be legal doesn't mean you have to partake. if you don't like it, leave it alone. but there are enough people who smoke it illegally that making it legal probably won't increase the number of people who use it everyday. we use it and just don't care if it's legal or not. if it was legal, cool. if it stays illegal. whatever. (spoken like a true pot-head lol)

If your against the legalization of marijuana you are very uneducated. Sorry to say. For most people it IS NOT a gateway drug. It is no different then someone having a drink or smoking a cigarette, only less harmful. If you don't know anything about it, don't down grade someone who smokes. There are TONS of people who smoke, they just choose not to flaunt it.

If its a gateway drug its because its illegal. You go to someones place who sells that and they may have something else you might wanna try.

I don't smoke but I say legalize it! It's a drug that in some states you can get from a doctor! It's way less harmful than alcohol, cigs & all these pills that gallia hands out like it's candy!

if they did legalize it it would cut down on pill heads and alcohol. if you could go to the store and buy it and charge a tax to grow it. guess what. no more debts. like someone else stated do the research not 1 death has ever been reported for weed overdose.

Look at the prohibition people will always find a way to get whatever substance is there vice. Making it illegal just puts money in the hands of "bad people" drug dealers so why should we not cash in and get that money for our economy which certainly needs it. The illegal crime rate went down 10% each consecutive year after the prohibition and it will be the same for pot. And as far as making it legal will get more people "hooked" that's just scared people not wanting change. People that don't smoke have a reason and just because it's legal isn't gonna sway them to start anyways unless it being illegal was their only problem to begin with. There should be guidelines to follow like an age requirement and to not drive under the influence or use in public but in the privacy of ones own home it should be his decision.
