The legalization and taxation is only common sense, plus marijuana used to be legal. There are several uses of the hemp plant besides ingesting it.

Its a non addictive form of medication. Beer/liqour is legal and is very easy to become addicted to and not to mention the wrecks, fights, domestic disputes, and violent crimes that increase with alcohol abuse.

According to our founding documents my rights and your rights come from God. In the Bible God clearly gives all men every living plant to consume. Gen.1:30, Gen 9:3, there are other verses but this is good enough.

Nothing wrong with a natural plant, whats next we can't eat celery. Marijuana is not chemically processed like drugs, and if you have researched it, it became illegal in a very corrupt way that includes big money, racism and no medical research.

The finding unfortunately has to be done in back alleys, unlite street corners, and the like because of "The Man" and his backward laws. LEGALIZE, "Free the Weed"

I own a business and every person on weed gets fired. showing up late. Sleeping on the jod not doing the job they are getting paid for and every other thing you could think of. This is the thing about pot is that when someone is smoking this it slows the brain down and makes that person LAZY!! I will not be reply back to this.when you own a company you get to see first hand what pot does I know someone is going to say I own this and that I don't care what you do. Pot is not anything like beer you can drink a beer every night and show up to work on time unlike pot. Smoke a joint every night and lose your job wife and kids I have seen it

I see nothing wrong with legalizing it for medical purposes. I would think with prescription pain pill abuse smoking marijuana is not near as bad for you as hydrocodone, oxycotin, etc. The tax benefits and the jobs it would create would be helpful for the state.

Pot isn't anything like beer? So alcoholics don't lose their jobs or families, only stoners? I think you need to wake up and realize weed is safer than beer. Alcohol is responsible for more deaths than any legalized medication/drug. Weed, if it is not laced with something, will only relax you and give munchies from hell. Beer will make you piss yourself and beat your family.

If marijuana were legally regulated nationally, criminal organizations would lose billions in profits while governments would reap billions in law-enforcement savings and tax revenue. Cannabis consumers would no longer be treated as criminals and the separation of cannabis markets from other illicit drug markets would reduce the number of cannabis users who go on to use more dangerous drugs.
