As a former legal medical cannabis provider,i can tell you that this natural medicine has many benefits for a variety of conditions. When autistic children are able to speak, for the first time, to their parents because of medical cannabis...or when epilepsy patients are freed from the worry of seizures and can throw their semi-worthless pharma medicine over the hill...or when persons in chronic pain can reduce or remove dangerous pharmacuticals from their life....one begins to see the truth about this natural miracle medicine. Medical research now shows cannabis as a cure for some cancers. Big drug companies and "paid-off" politicians don't want you to see the truth. They are concerned only with getting you hooked and making millions. Support the 10th ammendment to the US Constitution and support our right to natural medicine.

And in regards to the recent proposal of medical marijuana legislation in WV...about half of the reps in charleston personally supported it, but they refused to even talk about it on the floor of the house of delegates- they all said it would be political suicide to do so in an election year. It seems that almost ALL of our representatives are most concerned with GETTING RE-ELECTED, rather than doing what's right for the citizens of WV. Just an FYI. Think about that when you vote to re-elect someone. If you're a supporter of medical cannabis, please vote. If you're not registered, do it. Some states have passed their legislation by signature drives to put the issue on the ballot, allowing the voters to decide the issue...we need leaders and registered voters.

This isn't true. You can O.D. on it but it does take a good bit. It also slows reaction time so it can hinder your driving ability and cause accidents. When "smoked" it can also cause cancer.
Sure, I would agree that the DUI laws should remain in place if marijuana was legalized but not everyone smokes it and I do not think that the risk of overdosing on it is really that high. Nothing like say heroine.

"Marijuana overdose results in a variety of symptoms that may or may not appear in an individual user, including:

Feelings of paranoia or fear
Nausea and vomiting
An increased heart rates
Hallucination and disorientation

Marijuana overdose is not thought to cause serious symptoms that can result in the death of the user, and in fatal cases, death is usually due to other drugs or a medical condition of the patient. In fact, the few cases in which marijuana overdose was named as the primary cause of death are highly contested and controversial. This is mostly due to the nature and potency of marijuana. At levels where death due to an overdose of THC (the primary active chemical in marijuana) is thought to be possible, a user would have to take enormous amounts of the drug, far past what is taken for recreational purposes."

the long term effects are no worse than cigarettes. and if eaten and not smoked, there are NO ill effects whatsoever. also, smokin it can help prevent alzheimers. dont deny the medicinal uses if u havent properly researched it. i for one hope it becomes legal. not because im a user, because i have researched its positive effects. the memory loss is temporary, only while under the influence.

I have read a lot of comments and I must say that a lot of you who says marijuana needs to remain illegal seriously need to do some damn research. Legalize it for god's sake.

are you retarded or did someone drop you on your head. I smoke marijuana and I'm not a mindless, lazy person who get a welfare check. Just because you choose not to smoke it, doesn't mean you have to bash the people who do. Next time, get your facts straight before running off at the mouth (in this case, the fingers).

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
