Hi

I smoked pot for some nineteen years, it was like a stepping stone to more harmful drugs, its also took away my ambition and lead to not caring about anything, also i was paronoid and it made me feel like a failure.

Rick,
It wasn't the weed that made you feel like a failure and took away your ambition, it was YOU. I too have smoked pot for a very long time; however, I managed to get off my butt at a young age and make something of myself all while enjoying a few good tokes here and there. So please don't blame the weed for your lack of self control, blame yourself. |

It's less of a social hazard than alcohol. Let's legalize it and TAX it!
better than booze

it's medicinally helpful on many levels, recreational use is so much less harmful than drinking and other drugs. it should be taxed and allowed for in home use. and their right if you couldn't get off the couch to work or used other drugs-that's on you bonehead not pot.Quit making exusess for a life poorly lived.

I'm don't want to waste my tax dollars putting people in prison for smoking marijuana, esp when there are legal drugs that are KNOWN to kill thousands every year such as alcohol and cigarettes. Now there's nothing wrong with enjoying your alcohol or cigarette but we all know the facts about them. It's time we mature and change out laws to represent the common sense and the will of the people.

It's time that are laws regarding marijuana reflect common sense and the will of the people. There are substances that we know kill thousands of people every year such as alcohol and cigarettes. Now I like my wine and as long as I'm not near you I could care less if you decide to smoke, but we all know the facts about both and it makes no sense to criminalize a substance that has been proven to help people. I don't want to pay for someone to be sent to prison for smoking marijuana. There are other wars we should be fighting like combating sex slavery in America or bettering our education system so our children can be taught about who to make good decisions about substance abuse.

Legalize, regulate and tax!
I am a 10 year Air Force vet. I could get a Medical Marijuana in this fine state of Alaska. Of the 4 things that the VA has medically approved me for 3 would be helped by the use of MMJ. The only problem is that I am a spouse to an AD member and we live on base. They would rather give me pharms that kill my internal organs and drugs that zap my brain. There is something wrong with this senerio especially when you take into account the benefits out weigh the negatives!(don't smoke but vape or use an edible and I can't think of a negative!)
Legalize, Regulate and Tax! |

well, legal marijuana would be nice... problem is,there isnt any way our government could regulate and tax it.how many people do you know that grow their own tobacco? that is why marijuana will never be legal here.the government cant extort money from you for it first!
i support legalizing marijuana because it does have benefits........

It also made you flat out quote prohibitionist propaganda. Seriously, did you get that story from the DRUGFREEWORLD.COM ads on the side? It sounds like you did. |

Your question conflicts with itself. Nobody grows their own tobacco, that's why they can tax it. If cannabis gets industrialized, people won't be growing it. |
I have been growing my own tobacco now for 3 years it takes 250 plants to have enough tobacco for the year! I have also been able to get 100 other people to grow their own tobacco and as I hear it there are over 600,000 people now growing there own due to the high taxes of tobacco! I am also for making marijuana legal. |

<Brofist> Thanks for not putting money on tobacco companies' pockets. |

Potheads or worthless. There is no need to legalize a mind altering drug If you can not cope with the everyday stresses of life than you are a loser

There is no need? We're wasting money on keeping up a prohibition that doesn't stop people from using. Not small money, either. Billions of dollars. Whether you like cannabis or not, people are using it. People are using marijuana. Look at the map, people are using marijuana and we are wasting money to stop them. In the mean time, criminals are selling it. Criminals are selling cannabis to over 50 million people. And the government can't stop them. "Well, people should just stop using it" Point granted, go out and make people stop. Use whatever method you can find to stop people from getting high and tell me it works. In Taiwan they have death as a penalty for trafficking with drugs. Do you think that stops people? No, it has never worked. Prohibition has never worked, it hasn't reduced consumption and it's just wasting our money. http://www.youtube.com/watch... So, why keep it up? |
