Marijuana Debate - East Liverpool, OH

Since the government is spending sooo much money, trying to destroy cultivation of marijuana,why not legalize and tax it? Pay farmers to grow and harvest it,,my opinion is our states could bring the economy back in a year or so. People are going to smoke it,regardless of the consiquences, so MAKE IT FOR SALE !

I agree that the people will smoke it regardless and they're already willing to pay outrages prices for it. If you can legally buy alcohol and cigarettes you should be able to legally buy marijuana. Its no worse in my opinion.

No worse than alcohol, how many persons do you know who go out and drink then come home and beat their spouse or children compared to smoking a person who smokes a joint. Why is there fetal alcohol syndrome and no fetal marijuana sydrome? Can't tell me this has not been study, they test too many women at birth for drugs not to know if there is or is not such a thing as fmj.

It's simply insane to not.

Its a waste of law enforcement time and money

Or people who are really criminals I say those jail cells are needed for rapists, armed robbers,sneak theives , gang bangers, genuine assholes who belong there marijuana causes less violent behavior than alcohol ever seen a barfight at dans when it was open prohibition didnt work in 1920 and it still doesnt work now

The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this failed prohibition of marijuana. They claim that the 'plant' is dangerous and deadly, yet they can't provide any proof or credible evidence to back these claims up. They. Dont want it legal cause the money would end up in the hands of farmers not politicians and taxing it would be like taxing a cornfield also it takes 30days to leave the body wheras

I agree it would bring our economy back. i don't smoke it. but i very much would rather haveour typical pot smokers through out my entire n eighborhood then these dam pedofiles that get off the hook and prey on our kids and even work in our school. i say smoke away. The sale of it would bring back a real school system for our kids. Americans would have a stable job, keep their homes,cars, farms and health insurance. i think with sale of it our kids should be able to go to college for free. that's are future, let them have hope,dreams, and success. Definity beats a young daughter getting pregnant to some scumbag. it beats our sons going to prison. Im not picking on any certain group.im not perfect, we all make mistakes. im speaking from my heart as a mother that wants better for my children. How the country is run, is obviously not working. if we Americans are good enough to pay all these officials huge salaries and many perks they get. let us not forget their top knotch health insurance and retirements we pay for. then we Americans should have a say for a better brighter future for our kids and our security. we take excellent care of them, so what about us? When the hell is it our turn???!?? What have you done for us lately?????!
