It will give lawmen more serious crimes to investigate like murder and rape and it would make for a more productive environment.

It is natural. Alcohol should be against the law.

Grow it, tax it. People are smoking it anyway. Legalizing it would free up much needed prison space.

Legalizing marijuana would solve prison overcrowding and generate tax dollars.

Which goes back to the original post...that person believed that it would free up law enforcement to investigate more serious crimes. But it seems that wouldn't be true. No, they wouldn't be looking for illegal pot fields anymore, but it would, as you say, have a need for determining DUI. Would you support the taxes generated by the sales to be used to fund law enforcement?

Probably...and they also enrich uranium for nuclear weapons. Should we be allowed to do that as well?

Wow...do you really believe that? About the prison overcrowding, I mean. Just exactly how many people convicted of possession go to prison as opposed to other crimes? Exactly how many beds and cells would be freed up?

Never smoked marijuana but have heard it only makes you eat and sleep.
If so, how harmful can it be. Alcohol ismore harmful to your health.

Heh-heh...not quite. No tree stand, I don't hunt. Nor am I a good ol' boy.

I'm waiting for someone to actually give a fact related opinion as to why pot should be legalized. All that has been said so far can't be backed up, which can only lead me to believe that a vast majority of those who want it legalized only want it so: A)they can smoke it when and where they want to, B)they can grow it wherever they want to, C)they don't go to jail for possession. NO ONE, except for Banner, has given any thought into their position, much less voiced it.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Libra

Be very careful when handling financial matters today because not everything is as straightforward as it seems. For instance, someone may tell you about a fail-safe way of making money but neglect to mention all the reasons why it's totally illegal. There could also be mistakes if you're spending money, such as being short-changed or overcharged. So watch out!
