Why would it be hard to tax? The govt. has no problems taxing cigarettes, alcohol, or prescription drugs. Don't see what the big issue would be.

That's all we need, more stoners rights. Give it up. Think of something positive to pass as a law that would better everyone's lives.

Stoner's rights? That's a new one. lol. And no, I don't smoke pot. Never have and most likely never will. But, people are going to use it regardless, so why not legalize, enforce USDA regulations and tax the shit out of it. I'm sure there would be a lot less "stoners" if it was taxed.

I understand what you are trying to say but if it was legal and taxed, then there would still be the dealers so people wouldn't have to pay taxes, etc. It would make it easier for kids to get than it already is. It's a mind altering substance, we already have enough problems with alcohol, why add to the mix?

Kids are gonna get their hands on it just like they do prescription drugs such as Xanax, Oxycontin, Percocet, Ritalin, etc whether it's legal or not. Kids have no prob getting alcohol either. And truthfully, someone high on weed seems no worse than someone who's popped a few Xanax or Percs.

I hate to argue the slippery slope, but I believe that legalizing marihauna is a bad idea. What next? Methamphetamines?

Additionally, I think that alcohol is also a scourge to our society. The mere consumption of alcohol is not bad, but how many people can really control their consumption? Countless families are hurting because of alcohol. Let's not add Marihuana to the mix!

I think it should just be decriminalized. There are more pople in jail for marijuana that anything else put together in America. And for what? No one ever died from it!

And it would be hard to tax it because most people grow their own or buy locally grown Marijuana around here.

It helps people with medicial problems. I think alcohol is worse than marijuana. It should be legal.

My child self medicates because marijuana is the only thing that helps her with a debilitating neurological disease. The legal drugs don't help. Without marijuana she can't eat, sleep, or walk and is in unrelenting pain. She makes a butter out of the marijuana and cooks with it because she doesn't want to smoke it. Her use of marijuana keeps her independent. She works, is self sufficient, has earned a Bachelors degree, and is about to finish Grad School.
