It is much less harmful than alcohol in many ways. It can be a stress relief which is good for overall health. It provides a natural alternative to some prescription pills. It saves taxpayer money (police, court, jail). It reduses crime by eliminating the criminal element, "drug dealers". It can be taxed to fund public projects.

It's a plant species that's been around for millions of years. How did it get to be illegal? Answer: by the same government idiots who wish to control everyone's morality.
The biggest reason it became illegal in 1937 was to harass and control Mexican Americans as it was considered part of their culture. It was said to cause violence and insanity.

Safer than alcohol, safer than prescription drugs, so... because those believe, and maybe could even make a legitimate case, it is safer, must mean it is ok. Really? You think we want "smoking bars"?!? and what happens when they smoke and drink?!?because pot isn't as "Dangerous" alone, still debateable, what is it going to be like in combination with alcohol or other drugs. One last thing. If we don't want to work around those running heavy machinery who have been smoking pot, who would want them driving on the roads with us, our children, or family members? Pot not only alters the mind temporarily, but permanently as well. Heck while we are at it why don't we legalize huffing? Selling paint is already legal!

No one is advocating that it would be legal to drive or operate machinery while impaired by marijuana. The time of impairment after consuming marijuana is about the same as that for alcohol. I have spoken to many adults who believe they should have a LEGAL choice of recreational drug other than alcohol.

Please provide the source of your statement about permanent impairment from marijuana. The propaganda movie "Reefer Madness" is not a reliable source.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Cancer

If you want to make changes to your working environment or career prospects, do your best to get on with your colleagues today. It's a powerful Lunar Eclipse, so the Moon-ruled could encounter opposition as the knives come out. Perhaps someone objects to the way you're doing things, or maybe they're just plain jealous. Ensure that you're acting in everyone's best interests and not just your own, or you'll really land in hot water!
