Driving stoned isn't nearly as bad as driving drunk but they aren't banning alcohol anytime soon which is way worse for you in SO many ways...there are no reported deaths or accidents caused by marijuana! Since they can't prove your high when they pull you over if they find no marijuana they can't give you a ticket for driving under the influence like they do with alcohol. No breathalizer for weed! Do some research!

Marijuana is no more harmful than cigarettes or alcohol, why can't we all benefit from the taxes generated and the cell space vacted of legalizing it?

No one's telling anyone to drive high. There are just as many consumers, if not more, during prohibition than there are during time of legalization.
Cannabis wasn't popular until the government dried their resources into telling everyone how "bad and evil" it was.
Stupidity is not being able to receive, interpret and use new information. I'm giving you this information.

The facts: Prohibition is worse.

If Alcohol is legal and it has the effects it has than why wouldn't you make Marijuana legal when the effects aren't nearly as bad on people.

@ Ron Kelley's comment "you can't put more people on the roads while driving high" WOW...really? because in CA the ratio of alcohol related drunk driving deaths are outrageous. Marijuana related driving deaths...slim to none. People in CA who take a puff and drive are no different than people who have 1 can of beer. The insurance actuarians have done so many studies on this...alcohol is by far the more dangerous drug...inciting anger, violence, etc. Yet cancer patients and AIDS patients in many states can't get the help they desperately need. Besides...if we taxed it to death like cigarettes...think of the revenue it would bring...

It saved my life!!.I was dying of a life threatening disease, I have numerous injurys from the Military.Gulf War, Iraq,Afghanistan.. But I believe it should only be used by medical patients not kids or fakers

Thousands if lives saved in sensless killing over profit from illegal trade of marijuana. Tax dollars utilized for education. Lessening need for dangerous pain killers in terminal patients. Jail space for criminals who deserve to be locked up. Alternative means of relaxation above alcohol. Alternative income for struggling farmers who can opt to become suppliers of medicinal marijuana. There are many benefits and so few negatives. Only a fool woukd nit support legalization of marijuana in Washington.

The immediate feelings/state of mind; that a person gets from smoking marijuana, gives the user an instant mellowing effect, thus being SAFER, IF A PERSON IS DRIVING, than ALCOHOL. It can be used to relieve pain, induce sleep, & as well is less danger in terms of internal damage. NO, I'm not smoking; I have a brain injury.

Cannabis extract cures cancer! I can prove it. I've seen it personally. It works very fast on skin cancer. Youtube David Triplett cured too and Rick Simpson run from the cure.

I am a medical cannabis patient here in Wa state. I am originally from Upstate South Carolina and I would like to report that everything that I was ever taught about cannabis was not just false, but in fact polar opposite of the truth. First of all, you eat it, not smoke it. Although smoking does work for some people with certain conditions. Second, cannabis does not and cannot cause cancer because it kills cancer. Third, and maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but doesn't the Bible say that God gave us all the plants to use for medicine and food? Youtube Rick Simpson-Run from the cure, and David Triplett-Cured too for compelling evidence of the cancer cure.I've seen it work with my own 2 eyes!

Oh yes, please don't die form fear of the cure. I watched my wealthy friend with 3 young boys die needlessly from across the country unable to help. I bet they spent a million dollars killing her.If she had been here I could have saved her.

I can't say more than "I AGREE"..I think it is better for you than RX medications..that affect your liver, kidneys heart and many other long term side affects.

We are not ready to handle the transition of black market to legalization.

Marijuana shouldbe legal. There hae been no deaths from. Marijuana from driving or overdose. Every likes to smoke weed and its alot less harmfull then alcohal and alohal is legal. Plus if we tax it we will be out of debt within the next 4 to 6 years.
