I'm so fed up with our so called government. they know it to. All the facts our right in there faces. I've had 7 spinal fusions and now I have prostrate cancer. Pot is the only med that encourages appetite and rest. Not to mention other factors.
The gov't is scared of repercussions from the cartel and gangs. get BALLS AMERICA!

In crude, unprocessed form it should be de facto legalized, regulated, and taxed like alcohol and tobacco. I personally don't think ANYTHING smoked will ever get the federal government's blessing as "medicine" (e.g. it would have to be processed into some kind of elixir), and I basically see the watered-down medical marijuana bills that ONLY push it for physical ailments but NOT for psychological ones more as red herrings than "baby steps".

With such bills I COULD lie to my government and say that it helps my occasional Lyme Disease-related rhumatoid flare-ups in my arm when in REALITY ibuprofen does a much better job. But I'd rather be truthful and say: I want to use it for SAD instead (stress, anxiety, and depression) basically in the same way that the 1950s "organization men in the gray flannel suits" used martinis!(I'm NOT a teetotaler by ANY means, but I'd sure be drinking a LOT more if it weren't for cannabis).

I wrote the following letter a decade ago in early 2002 in Albany's alternative tabloid paper "Metroland" and still feel the same way today.(Engine search the five words: "just make it legal metroland", and then scroll down to the very last posted letter).

Because it has many more benefits than alcohol and tobacco, which are both legal and cause more problems than marijuana.

Pot is more destructive that tobbaco to the lungs. Go ahead all you potheads, smoke your brains out. Twenty years down the road when you are laying in your death bed coughing out your lungs, remember all the fun times in your life when you lost control of your senses and permanetly re-wired the neutrons of your brain.

The government needs to do a better job at convincing the American voters if they want to continue on with this prohibition of marijuana. They claim that the plant is dangerous and deadly, yet they can't provide any proof or evidence to back these claims up. If you want to know the FACTS about marijuana then click on the link below.

The buffalo police have no desire to make drugs leagal. The use minor drug arrests to create overtime and pad their pensions. They selectively enforce the laws based on personal preferences. Many cops fail their urinalysis and depending on whether they are $ contributors, they often get the test thrown out ..... Or they write a bigger check to the greatest mayor and father of a lying criminal son, Byron brown
