The tax payers cannot continue funding the incarceration of non violent offenders, most of which are incarcerated for illegal substances. Legalizing cannabis would only help the state save money and cut down on violence in the streets. Make the right decision NY and legalize it our pockets aren't getting any fatter

if legal then the state could charge taxes and control it's sales also it would put the mexican drug lords out of the smugling business.and it would help people with cancer

Due to the increase of Cancer, eye disease and the long recovery road from kemo and radiation , it has been medically proven the marijuana helps a patient through this nightmare by increasing their appetites to help relax and keep food down and I understand that any disease of the eye is extreemely painful and the use of pot, weed or whatever you want to call it also helps immenseley. Since we are in a depression also legalize it, let the govt tax it and be done with it.Its really about the govt. getting a peice of the pie anyways. That would allow the stopping of smuggling it in and it would also stop the courts from being filled with non violent offenses such as possession of this product. Its not heroin, its not cocaine, and its not ecstacy. Its pot for christ almighty sakes.

I would think by know that everone can see how usefull this so called "drug" is. My mother has cancer and i want it to help her
not to smoke it myself but everone should be able to choose what they want in there bodies it not a big deal + if this goes legal i think there will be less killing in other contries and less in jails so we get lower taxes by not supporting the people who are in jail over this and also less death so i say leagal all the way
