Marijuana Debate - Atlanta, GA

It's pretty clear in this day and age that the effects of marijuana are no less harmful than alcohol. In fact alcohol is much worse statistically, but everyone already knows that. This is 2010, I think it's about time we just sucked it up and dealt with the economical benefits that come with legalizing a natural herb.

Never happen, a lot of cops would get fired because they would have nothing to do.

Cannibis is safer than alcohol..I have been smoking it for 35 years and I am doing just fine.

LOL-I have to agree that it's safer than alcohol...people don't get all "red-eyed" and become violent like with alcohol.

You can call marijuana "natural", but so is opium. I have nothing wrong with taking a few hits here and there just like I have no problem with a few drinks here and there. It is the trash out there that has more than a few and kill people with their stupidity whether it is due to drunk driving or the frying of their brain that too many people are too stupid to see marijuana will eventually do.

I vote "YES!" to legalize all drugs, just tax the sh*t out of them and anyone who kills someone due to the usage gets an instant hanging (same with drunk drivers or anyone who kills someone due to alcohol usage).

As you can tell by the duplicate listing, I've already had a couple drinks and a few hits this morning :-D Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

It's no different than alcohol.

Everything's got pros and cons,but all I see on this one is 'pros'.....quicker buzz,less trips to the restroom,less reeking,not as costly,fewer calories,I could keep going but I'm headed to the liquor store....just kidding.

Pot makes people stupid, lazy, and unfocused. Keep it away from kids every chance you get. I have smoked it but grew out of that about 20 years ago. Just my personal opinion, though.

Guess what, I smoked weed from the time I was 15 until just a few months ago. I graduated high school Salutatorian, went to college and now have two Bachelor Degrees. Also, I probably would have never made it through college if it wasn't for weed because I would have been too stressed out. Just a thought here but if pot makes you stupid, lazy and unfocused, then you were never that smart, active or focused to begin with. Just MY personal opinion.

and your clueless. There are way worse drugs in the state of georgia than ganja. This plant could help our country. Cops will still give speeding tickets. this plant could help our economy, unemployment, and a little less crime could be a good thing in Atlanta.
