True it is grown naturally, but that doesn't mean that the use of it should be legalized.
Also I want to point out that the ONLY people who are going to vote for it to be legal are the pot heads & drug dealers them selfs!

I'm 100% against having it legal. It really benefits no one, accept the drug dealers and dope heads. Plain as that

No one has the right to tell another adult what they can do in their own home. Marijuana is safer that alcohol or tobacco.

Get real! For ANYONE to claim that it helps their "pain" or their "illness" is someone who is full of CRAP! The ONLY way for ANYONE to know what it does, is if that person has already smoke it. And in that case, you were smoking it to get high!

and now you just want it legal or for "medical" use so that you can continue to be a pit head!
If it's legalized there will be that many more high people driving on the roads and that scares that heck out of me! I have kids that I love with all my heart and it makes me sick to think that there might be many many more pot heads out on the streets behind the wheels of vehicles because it's "legal" to be high. Come on people, let things be. When you start changing things like this, it only causes a domino effect of crap that you won't like. Just like voting for Obama, now look where that's gotten us. Haven't we learned anything? Let lying dogs rest!

nothing kills pain, it just gets you loaded and makes you forget about it. heroin is the same thing as morphine, oxy contin, hydrocodone etc. etc. etc. its all from the opium poppy they just manufacture it cleaner and it's all addictive it's like comparing beer with vodka it's all ethyl alcohol one's just more potent (liquor is quicker). If pot is legalized maybe more alcoholic's will smoke it so they don't suck off social security disability when they get chirrosis. the government can tax it like booze so it can help them pay for all the peoples disabilities it causes also ( like lame brain and laziness) one more legalized drug to help Americans claim that addiction is a disease instead of admitting that it is a weakness in self control

Marijuana is something people can use medicinally or to just relax and take the stress off of a long day. It should be legal. It has the power to fix this nation's budget. If we were to grow it, and export it to other countries, we could easily get our economy to thrive.

It doesn't really impair a person at all, like other prescription drugs or alcohol. Many people just don't like it because it is currently illegal. Those who haven't tried it and denounce it should try it at least once in order to be able to argue the good and bad points of marijuana usage.

Many people become more focused when smoking, and it can even be used as a study aide.

In order for it to fix the nations budget everyone would have to be smoking it. That is a scary thought. We have enough people out there using poor judgment to be adding this into the factor. I do not see how you think this helps people to study. If that were a fact then why are schools not doing better with the kids using then the ones who are not?

First off, kids in school should not be using any drugs, illegal or not. Secondly, the only reason they can get marijuana is because it is illegal and sold by criminal dealers at every school in the country.

Legalize it, control it, tax it, sell it to adults like alcohol and tobacco. People who want to smoke pot can do so now. Legalizing it will not greatly increase the number of users that are using now. The only difference is that they wouldn't go to prison and have their lives ruined.

If people drive under the influence of pot, fine them, educate them, and treat them like we treat those with alcohol problems.

We cut the numbers of smokers in this country by half in 30 years without putting a single smoker in jail. We did it by educating smokers. Prohibition does not work. It never has and it never will!

First off your theory is a little off there. Tobacco, alcohol, and prescription are all legal to get and illegal for kids to have. They still have no problems getting them. In all the years alcohol has been legal we have failed to reduce the number of abusers and have had little impact on driving under the influence. If you think that making it legal will not ruin peoples lives then I think you do not understand what it is to be a addict. Addicts can not be cured and will not stop just because you send them to a rehab clinic. These so called people you say are in jail for possession are there because the were committing other crimes while carrying any had the possession tacked on.

Marijuana should be legalized, regulated and taxed. Doing so will significantly lighten the load on agencies like the DEA and Border Patrol, allowing them to focus resources on serious crimes and drugs. The tax base increase will certainly help balance our budgets...and people who enjoy smoking it won't have to worry about being seen as criminals. Pot is a lot less dangerous to society than alcohol!

well if they legalized it and taxed it (of course) don't you think that it would helped pay off the national debt and help fix the money crisis that this nation is in right now. As well as that would we all live in a peaceful state of mind and there's be no wars and conflict, no fighting, we'd be too stoned to care and would live in bliss.
