You sound like a sophomoric college student. Illegal immigrants from south of our border have changed the whole social fabric of California. Many people have experienced what I have - the replacement of our once regular working class/middle class neighborhoods with massive Hispanic third world slums. They are not picking any vegetables or "doing jobs Americans just will not do". They are masters of looting public assistance and have totally overloaded the public safety net. They benefit from a gracious and generous people who give them:
Free education (through college!)
Free food
Free housing
Free medicine
And what do they give in return? Reconquista? Surly scowls? Drug dealing? "La Raza" (why are they allowed to use such a disgusting racist term, but no one else?)?
Screw them - they have had their time to loot American kindness and take a sh!t on our neighborhoods. The economy has changed - we can no longer afford to be suckers. Be legal or get out!!!!!!!
Dallas TX's solution to Illegals...Brilliant!!!!

Recently, in the City of Dallas, Texas, they passed an ordinance that if you are pulled over by law enforcement and not able to provide proof of insurance, your car will be towed right away. Afterwards, to retrieve your car after being impounded, you must require proof of insurance to have your car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars that are typically driven by mostly illegals. Shortly after "No insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up quickly and was full after nine days. Most of the impounded cars were driven by illegals. Not only must you provide proof of insurance to have your car released, you have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and charged $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot. I would suggest other cities across the nation to follow what Dallas , Texas is doing. Not only is it getting uninsured drivers off the road, but it is taking away vehicles driven by illegals that have no insurance.

Brings a tear to my eyes...
ARREST and DEPORT.

Dallas Texas is my kind of American city. Keep up the good work, Dallas. I hope other cities use the same tact. An illegal driving with no insurance, no drivers license, no nothing but a car, ran into my house 3 years back, causing extensive damage. What happened? My home insurance policy through State Farm fixed it and what happened after that, I do not know.

Here's why the governor was in such a hurry to sign the BS1070 bill into law. Looks like her top advisors were prison lobbists. Maybe she'll get a cut out of putting women and children in the pen too.

The law is the same as the federal law, period! It is just giving support to the federal law by allowing local authorities to enforce it.

We all have to prove our citizenship all the time. When you get pulled over or when you go to vote among other things. It only "targets illegal residents."
Right Pundit wrote:
this law does nothing to fix the problem of illegal immigration but does target certain minority groups of legal citizens. anything that infringes upon the rights of a legal citizen or makes them have to prove their status (guilty until proven innocent) is unjust.

You all fail to see that is this goofy law were written as "Officers requiring proof of legal residence from all persons detained", there would be no argument about racism here. The fact that this silly law is aimed at illegals, which at this moment, seems to be hispanics primarily (there are all colors, but we tend to think hispanic when we think illegal - mexico) is the controversy here.

If cops required all people to show proof of residence, then there would be no argument here and this would simply be another law.

"All USA citizens must produce their USA PASSPORT"

"All USA alien residents must produce their Resident Alien Card"

"All Foreign Visitors must produce their Visitor VISA"

It's very simple, however, we like to complicate things in bureaucracy.

Also, give up the crap about securing the border, we all know that no one wants to secure the border, except the minutemen and the tea-baggers.

In reality, we like to have a porous border, because it keeps our highly paid men and women employed. Yes, border patrol, customs, police, etc. You see, we are making a big issue of this, when we could easily secure the border like NORTH KOREA does. I will guarantee you that there is not a wealth of people crossing the 38th parallel.

If any of you are serious about securing the border, then simply make your worthless congress people arm the border with military and authorized deadly force for all situations considered illegal crossing. You will find that people will stop crossing quickly.

However, if you make your living from one of the government agencies that helps to "secure the border", then you simply continue doing what you do today, the bare minimum.

If a police officer stops you for any reason he/she will ask for your identification no matter what you look like. If you don't have identification what is supposed to be done? If you are near the Mexican border just what type of person are you looking for? Are you looking for Anglos or Blacks crossing the border? Hell, many of these police officers are Hispanic themselves. They know exactly what is going on and who to question.
As far as arming the border...do you realize that the Mexican economy depends upon money the human smugglers and drug smugglers bring in? And the money the illegals send back home once the get here? And they have become so dependant upon it that they have lost their country to the cartels...and Americans have quit going there as tourists because of the violence. This is a diplomatic nightmare. But, I agree...put the military down there and secure the border once and for all.

I will explain this one more time though I'm sure you understand. A sovereign nation has the right and obligation to protect its sovereignty . These ILLEGALS premeditate an ILLEGAL invasion of our borders. That makes them ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CRIMINALS . I do not give a damn why they come or how hard they work or that they are poor, That is Mexico's problem . I work to support MY family not Pedro's family. You obviously want open borders for 1 of 2 reasons . You are ILLEGAL or you are a Socialist Democrat who wants their votes to stay in power. If you want to ignore Immigration Law then we will ignore Civil Rights Law. Fair is fair, right , entiende hombre. ARREST and DEPORT all ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CRIMINALS.

You don't know much about the topic of illegals so you. They don't pay taxes period. On homes, cars, etc. They only deal in cash money & stolen social security cards!

yes, they knowingly broke our laws. I do not feel sorry for them or their kids. Which they reproduce like rabbits, which we are paying for their health care. Our country is so messed up. Deport all of them.

110%. I wish it was stricter. Our country is circling the drain fast. Their nothing but reproducing 4-6 kids, 20 to 30 living in a 2 bedroom house. New cars & trucks because by law they don't have to pay taxes on. They deal strictly with cash. Chase our small store owners out by grafetti & vandelizing. When store closes they buy it for Mexican items only. Deport them, all of them.
