Immigration Debate - Overland Park, KS

Our federal government has failed to enforce existing immigration laws. Our borders are open, to all who wish to enter, without following those laws. Stop bashing Arizona, for trying to do what Washington won't. I don't begrudge anyone regardless of race/nationality, wanting to come to the US. But I have a problem with anyone, regardless of race/nationality, who breaks our laws in order to do so. I beleive the rights, priviledges, and safety of Americans, whether natural born, or "LEGAL" immigrants should trump those of law breakers/illegals.

rules are rules follow em or go to jail or back home!

The unsustainable commercialized ag system employs many of these people. If you want to help stop eating meat. No more mega processing plants, feedlots, or slaughterhouses. Oh, but you live in Overland Park. You probably have no idea what goes on in rural Kansas.

This could be stopped by people asking about how their food is produced. Look at any of the towns in rural America that have animal kill plants. These towns are over run by illegals.The people not employed by the kill plants in local areas pay for the education and healthcare of the illegals through taxes. The meat industry is controlled by foreigners.

Any "law" that allows someone to be singled out based on the color of their skin is taking us back to the Jim Crow era.

I don't see what all the flack is about. Arizona took it upon it's self to enforce federal laws because federal law enforcement is failing to do so. No surprise to me that the federal government has failed the people again by ignoring it's own laws and only enforcing them selectively when it suits their need...
If the laws are unfair change it. Don't whine and cry because it is being enforced. Immigration isn't a racist issue, it's an American issue.
As for illegal immigrants that are living and working and paying taxes in the U.S. now and otherwise not engaged in criminal activity, they should be granted amnesty and allowed the every opportunity to qualify for citizenship.
Illegal immigration should be stopped at the border and legal immigration should be easier, also at the borders. You have to put the burro before the cart if you want to get anywhere.

What part of ILLEGAL don't Americans understand? I'm all for them becoming legal, but there still needs to be a penalty.

I'd like the illegal foreign workers who are not currently legal to get right with the law, for their own sakes. Arizonans clearly admire wild justice and so do many other Americans. Then I'd like my own countrymen to plant their own gardens, shovel their own nonsense, and just mostly, shut the phuck up.

I think immigration is a good thing. They make huge contributions to our country and our way of life. I truly appreciate their hard work.

Immigration allows in one million a year. Illegal aliens are the problem.
