i am tired of paying for illegal immigrants

It was already a Federal Law...those opposed should take the time to READ it. Those opposed should talk to some of the victims of illegal immigrants, where there has been no recoarse and no justice for the taxpaying, lawabiding citizens!

Our federal government has failed to enforce the existing laws in place. We as American citizens have to take control and ensure stronger immigration laws are followed. AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - FOR LEGAL IMMIGRATION!

south Phoenix is a war zone of drug dealing and cartel gangs, threatening the lives of legal immigrants as well as veteran residents. If the Feds won't enforce the law, then Arizona is certainly within its rights to do so, as lax enforcement encourages the cartels to operate in Arizona.

the AZ law is just like the cal law that bans sanctuary cities

834b.(a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.

(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the following:

(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and place of birth, and entry into the United States, and demanding documentation to indicate his or her legal status.

(2) Notify the person of his or her apparent status as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws and inform him or her that, apart from any criminal justice proceedings, he or she must either obtain legal status or leave the United States.

(3) Notify the Attorney General of California and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal status and provide any additional information that may be requested by any other public entity.

(c) Any legislative, administrative, or other action by a city, county, or other legally authorized local governmental entity with jurisdictional boundaries, or by a law enforcement agency, to prevent or limit the cooperation required by subdivision (a) is expressly prohibited.

Fantastic post !!!! This should be a poster .They really dont have the guts. And they have the nerve to wave the mexican flag here . although i think they have gotten smart and they dont wave it as much . But they should know it really doesnt make a differance. Ilegal is llegal. Its better to move while they have time . Before they get picked up and transported out.

The faceless "illegal" needs to go home, right? Send them all back, sure, that would leave more for us. Send back the hardworking father who has been running a landscaping company successfully here for 8 years with no police record. The cops had a right to stop him sure, that headlight out definately brings his imigration status into question...

Quit blaming all of AZ's problems on immigrants...statistically US citizens are much more likely to commit violent crime. Too many people in AZ think we're in some big game of cowboys & indians in the old west. It's all down to bigotry.

Not everyone in Arizona is blind to the immigration situation here. Arizona has built itself up on the backs of many a poor migrant worker and still does. Now that times are hard we want to open our eyes to who's working in our hotels, mowing our lawns and constructing our homes. There are families that have been here over 20 years - working hard, paying taxes and having children. We need to find an equitable path for all. This new reform, signed by a governor we did NOT elected is not equitable. Arizona being a border state needs assistance from the federal government to get this situation under control and the only good that could come from this law is perhaps the attention paid to the current situation. We certainly need reform, this new immigration law is not the help we need.

Checked in here to see what Az.persons thought of the Federal Law and/or the Az.Law.What is the difference?Just because our Congress and President haven`t the, you know what, to enforce the law for years,the Congress passed it and it was signed into law,wasn`t it?Why does it make any difference if the illegal,sneaked in,married or just took on a woman to have children,that makes it all right to stay here?Sorry,but the illegals are coming here also,and it doesn`t make sense to allow it!!!

Jim,he broke the law 8 years ago so he should have a record.I don't care if he has been here 100 years he still came here illegaly and has no rights to stay.Sorry but that is just the way I feel,but than again,I follow the law.
