The law is not so much new as it is an extension to what the federal government has already established. With any violation of U.S. law, peace officers take an oath to uphold the laws and enforce them across the board. My opinion is not so much a matter of why I support "Arizona's" immigration efforts, so much as why the law make sense. That sense comes from looking at all the facts and realizing our country has stopped trying to really enforce laws in there broad spectrum, rather, to picking and choosing which laws "seem" politically viable for election(s) or future election(s). Our country is one that was founded on immigration; however, it must be done legally and with respect to all the current legal citizens and legal immigrants working here, and not cater to the ideals of passive, weak, and morally devoid leaders. THAT IS WHY WE ALL SHOULD SUPPORT OUR COUNTRY'S LAWS.

Bobby, prior to posting, take the time to capitalize "AMERICA." Its important to also know the U.S. Constitution prior to spouting off as if you're some time of expert on the matter (do some research). White ["poeple"] are not to get you and should I add, Mattawa is primarily Mexican. If I'm not mistaken, isn't it about 95% or more Mexican (see, I took the time to capitalize Mexican). So, it seems to me, white people are the minority there. Best of luck, and learn to write.

immagration has been in existance for hundrens of years. but the problem was not as bad as today.we have too many undocmumented people in our nation..only people who have been living here for 15 years.and with no criminal records.and are able to prove that they can financialy support themselfs and their families.the rest.we can say bye bye..no matter from what nation.

I support Arizona's law because people should not be here illegally! I will say there are very few who work hard, pay taxes, and should somehow be granted some type of exception however the majority are freeloaders! As for MATTAWA this town needs an immigration sweep! I see many people from Seattle that buy homes to retire however the town is in complete dire need of some type of immigration reform. Gangsters, and a bunch of illegals is all Mattawa's population consists of.

They are suppose to prove that in their visas application before they come here. You don't come here first and then ask to stay. That's backwards.

They are here illegally then they should be deported, i don't care if they been here 40 years.
