I believe we have to fix the problem here in America, when we hire the people that sneaks across the borber thats an invitation to them.If we need them lets put a system in place to make sure we prevent illegal hiring.
And if we stop using the drugs they are suppling we will deprive them of the market.
we have to choose what we want, if we want their labor then we have to have them, and if we need the drugs, then we have to have all that comes with it. we have the power of choice in this case and it is time for us to make up our minds.

How disgusting is it that Mexican President Calderon was actually allowed to address Congress and blast this bill?

Make no mistake, the enemies of this country are at the helm.

I could care less about President Calderon's opinion. His comments are completely transparent and self serving. Of course he doesn't want U.S. immigration laws enforced! It benefits him that way. He isn't willing to make the sacrifices FOR HIS PEOPLE that he is calling upon the U.S. to make.

I'd only be interested in hearing what he intends to do within his own country. Otherwise, he can just shut his mouth. We don't answer to Mexico!

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has been ripping into Arizona's immigration law as he tours Washington -- while appearing to disregard the way his own country cracks down on immigrants along Mexico's southern border.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/05/20/ca...

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has been ripping into Arizona's immigration law as he tours Washington -- while appearing to disregard the way his own country cracks down on immigrants along Mexico's southern border.

Mexico repeatedly has been cited by human rights groups for abusing or turning a blind eye to the abuse of migrants from Central America. Until recently, Mexican law made illegal immigration a criminal offense -- anyone arrested for the violation could be fined, imprisoned for up to two years and deported. Mexican lawmakers changed that in 2008 to make illegal immigration a civil violation like it is in the United States, but their law still reads an awful lot like Arizona's.

Arizona's policy, which Calderon derided on Wednesday as "discriminatory" and assailed again on Thursday, requires law enforcement to try to determine the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant -- provided they are already in contact with that person. They can't randomly stop people and demand papers and the law prohibits racial profiling.

The Mexican law also states that law enforcement officials are "required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country before attending to any issues."
Calderon, who addressed members of Congress Thursday morning, was facing criticism on Capitol Hill for his remarks.

Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, called Calderon's comments inappropriate.

"It's a little bit like inviting a guest over for dinner and then having them criticize the food," he told Fox News. Smith wrote Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday to complain that Mexican officials have "crossed the line and are interfering in the internal affairs of the United States."

Calderon said Wednesday that his country would retain its "firm rejection" of a policy where "people that work and provide things to this nation will be treated as criminals."
The comments came just weeks after Amnesty International issued a report claiming illegal immigrants in Mexico -- typically from Central America -- face abuse, rape and kidnappings, and that Mexican police do little to stop it. When illegal immigration was a criminal offense in Mexico, officials were known to seek bribes from suspects to keep them out of jail.

President Obama joined Calderon in criticizing the Arizona policy on Wednesday. He is trying to build support for a comprehensive federal immigration overhaul.

The threshold question is whether they're here legally. If not, all of the other comments are bullchit. Mexico has long had a rogue gov't, whereby there are the super rich (LIKE CALDERON) and then the super poor. He isn't trying to change anything within his own country, and HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF MEXICO.

His comments were disrespectful to the American people and to President Obama who graciously had him as a guest.

it's bad enough that our country passes out welfare checks like water but add to that the illegals that are also milking any handout available, make me sick. Where's Ron Regan when you need him?

To hell with Regan, where's Teddy Roosevelt?'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

The pro-weeetbakkk posters have a point --- if you drive around S. Georgia you find much of the <nasty> farmwork being performed by illegal Mexicans. They work hard and effectively ... and no-man can justly deny them the dignity earned by their own work.
I imagine the equivalent is true for Florida Ag and construction.

That fact granted ---the weeetbaaaks are not one.wit less illegal and less thieving and less threatening to a republican culture; those American citizens who hire and protect them should be subject to loss of all property and accrued value based on that work. And the illegals removed cross-border with all humane dispatch.

It may be in the fields of South Georgia the work is being done by illegal Mexicans but here in the North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio area, the work is being done in the fields, factories, restaurants and businesses by descendants of hard working Americans who are hard working Americans themselves. I have British, Canadian, Vietnamese, Indian, Latin American friends who are hard workers and are here legally, either with citizenship papers or obtained the green card through legal means. Talking with these legals one finds out they do not like the fact of all these illegals coming here and resent them. Agreeably those American citizens who hire and protect these illegals should be subject to loss of property and accrued value based on the work and all illegals should be removed cross border with all humane dispatch.

It was okay when Bush attended a State dinner in China and during a speech there, berated the Chinese for its lack of human rights. Bush could do no wrong!

Now we see Obama copying Bush as now it appears the oil spill is Obama's Katrina.

Yes, but it is unfair tyhat we do not have an orderly, standard, REASONABLE process for people to become legal citizens. The process should not take 10 years and should not involve attorneys charging thousands of dollars for help in becoming a citizen.

North America has too many residence already ... we do not need or want any more people. Of any race , color or religion. ZERO immigration is what works for me.

Then with all prudence drive all illegals into the sea.
