Immigration Debate - Hondo, TX

This ISN'T a new law!!!! This was already a Federal law, Arizona just made it legal for local cops to stop them, but the law was already on the books. The people opening their mouths when talking to the liberal media don't even know what they're complaining about. Get your facts straight!!

There's way too much tax money going to support illegal immigrants coming to this country. Let them get naturalized like the law says the have too and like everyone who does it legally does. We're spending hundreds of billions of dollars on government programs supporting them when they get here, and we should do everything in our power to control this problem and get them out!

As a gringo who was raised in South Texas and has la tino friends since childhood, I agree wholeheartedly with OPL. The people I see coming in now are not the good, hard working latinos of the past. Most have no intention of settling down and finding a life as Americans, they are too busy waving Mexican flags and collecting every handout ever thought up by our Democrats in congress, and committing crime to boot. There are exceptions in Hondo, but they are fewer and fewer every year.

Looks like racism has been declared legal by a bunch of Nazis. I agree that there are a bunch of undesirables entering our country. But why just target hispanics. Why not go after incoming skinheads, muslim fanatics & other anti-americans. Y'all worry too much about illegal mexicans. I agree wholeheartedly with irs. If he sound little irritated by using harsh language, that is what this latest law has done to some of our proud, decent, hardworking race. I too was born here and have every right to live free of being targeted and having to prove that I'm here legally. I know some mexican illegals are here for all the wrong reasons but why are people of middle eastern countries-terrorist who come into this country and use our own resources against us- not targeted. Will they also be stopped and questioned? You are so worried about the illegal mexicans using our welfare systems and tax dollars. I support immigrants, not illegals. It is not about race, sex, etc. It is about the Law. If I have to be id'd so be it. It get my stuff examined as a military member deploying at the IAP in uniform but I dont complain just get it done.

Who do you think is swarming across our southern borders , blue eyed Swedes ? Wise up .The Socialists in this Administration do not want to enforce immigration laws because they are terrified of losing Latino votes .They are putting votes ahead of the law and protecting American citizens . Obama should be impeached and the Socialists in Congress removed for malfeasance in office .

arizona is right! any state that wants to rid the gangs, drugs and violance that comes from south of the boarder has the right to do so in order to protect its legal citizens. if it takes racial profiling to get rid of the bad then so be it. IF YOU R DOING NOTHING WRONG WHY WORRY (kind of like babies crying over spilt milk). the u.s. should bring our troops back home and protect our home front for the people that love this country so much that they would sweat and give their tax dollars. if u can't put the u.s. first and abide by states laws then u don't need to be here.
