The federal government, whether run by Republicans or Democrats, has avoided dealing confronting the issue for fear of political losses. Ronald Regan tried to fix the problem in 1986 by allowing 3 million plus illegals a path to citizenship. But they failed to secure the border and now we are looking at 12-15 million illegals.
When the people get fed up, as in Arizona or, earlier, in Prince William County, Virginia, they must act. The actions of Arizona reflect that frustration. It won't solve the problem, but may get the Feds to act.
Lastly, Mexico has encouraged and sent over 10 million of its citizens into the US -- that is 10 percent of Mexico's population!!! It is the job of Mexico to care for its citizens and its growing population, not the US. Sure, we need some Mexican workers, but not 10 percent of Mexico's people.
Secure the border now. Then we can discuss how to deal with illegals. Though I'd prefer deportation, that probably won't be practical, but we can make them pay for their flouting of US immigration law.

I'm for legal immigration but if you break the law to enter this country you should be thrown out when caught, period.

When the federal government is able and willing to secure our borders, then states will not need to make local laws like this one.

Any time a soverign state is invaded by illegal aliens. Who are here to steel us citizens social security ID's and drivers license. And then use those items to get free health care and free aid which they are not legally suppose to get then the state has the legal right and the demand of its citizens to act in order to protect its citizens. And when the United stated government is too weak kneed(also need votes to get back in office)to do any thing then it is the rights of the citizens to put people in office who will follow our dictates and not their own dictates. In other words a government for the people,by the people and of the people(US citizens). Not weak uneducated predators from a corrupt no good country such as Mexico. Mexico is a prime exsample of corrupt politicions. And our US government(congress) is just as bad as that government.Absolute power corrupts absolutely every time.

What those smartasses are doing they're coming to America taking all the American's work and they work for about 5 years and by then they've made enough money to live on in Mexico for the rest of their selfish lazy careless lives.

What if every time you went out for a drive you were expecting police to pull you over because of the color of your skin. Mask it any way you want, that's the only way to tell if they're "suspicious." Look at New York for example on what America really stands for, "give us your tired, your poor, your hungry."

You people believe what you believe because you listen to your parents, and your family and friends, but you don't actually have any empathy. You get in these social circles of ignorance and it breeds these offensive ideas. You treat people like dogs. It's barbaric. I'll risk being turned into a social pariah just for the chance that one of you will see how corrupt and backwards your ideals are.

Simple, why have immigration laws without any teeth? There are ways to immigrate, so do it right. Sneaking over the border puts an undue hardship on the citizens of the US. roperly and become legal...sneak across the border..then you are illegial.

““The country crying racism the loudest is also the country that has the most of their citizens permitted to become naturalized US citizens, Mexico!!!

What are the countries of origin of newly naturalized citizens?
Of those who naturalized in 2008, 22.2 percent were born in Mexico (231,815), 6.3 percent in India (65,971), and 5.6 percent in the Philippines (58,792). Nationals of these three countries, together with those from China (40,017), Cuba (39,871), Vietnam (39,584), El Salvador (35,796), the Dominican Republic (35,252), Colombia (22,926), and Korea (22,759), accounted for 56.6 percent (592,782) of all naturalizations in 2008.

Yes,why should foreigners from any other country be allowed to run a muck in our country stealing, cheating, doing drugs, stealing identies etc. just so some rich people can benefit from their low salaries. They are costing way more in tax burdens and medical exspenses than they are
worth in cheap labor.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
