Immigration Debate - Eugene, OR

Legal means just that. You enter this country legally just as anyone else does. You go through proper immigration procedures and you follow the law. Otherwise, stay in your birth country.

I don't think that its right for a cop to walk up to anyone, because of their ethnicity, and have them prove that their an American citizen. It all comes down to race.

Before you repeat what youve heard,or assume somthing. Read the law it does not say that they can do that at all.

If the federal government isn't going to protect our boarders, I would hope the states would do so. I support legal immigration. However, I am adamently opposed to illegal entry into our country.

Every case is different. You can't judge one person based off of someone else actions. For example is it fair to a child who was brought here as an infant to be treated the same as an illegal drug dealer? NO! it's not. Nor is it fair to automatically take some one's privilege of ever become a good citizen based off some mistakes they made as a youngster. ALL people do stupid things when your young, but as you get older you learn from them.
Basically it boils down to 1 person ruins ir for everyone and its just wrong. Each case should be evaluated as an individual.

TO ANSWER THE QUESTION, NO I DON'T SUPPORT THAT BS LAW..........

Everyone needs to register to vote and if they want to change parties do it early, and then dont forget to vote. I am voting for the people who will listen to what American citizens want. I dont care what party they belong to. I am tired of this pandering to certain groups by both of the major parties. Get out and vote when it is time, and make sure you vote for the people that care about what American citizens want.

This law supports racial profiling, something I find unacceptable. Being hispanic should not be something you can get pulled over for.

I might ask you if you are employed, do you pay your fair share of taxes, do you help those in need, are you a drug user, how many children do you have that you are not supporting,....how do you know who is a true native and who is not. The USA is a whole melting pot of different peoples and it may surprise you that looks do not ALWAYS tell who may have "native" background in that regard.

Who cares if they get pulled over, it happens. What illegals don't like is being pulled over and can't produce any paperwork.
