It's common sense to allow undocumented immigrants to become citizens. What are you going to do with people who are living and working here for so long having established their lives here with families and jobs? It is an impossiblity to force these people out of the country. Grow up and accept reality.

It's not impossible to force them out. They are always breaking the law and E-Verify will catch many of them.

Unless they have ancestors who came here 12000 years ago they came here without the permission of the original inhabitants and are here illegally. All Mexicans have ancestors who were here 12000 years ago. Johns Hopkins has a brain surgeon who came here as an illegal imigrant. If you have a need for brain surgery in Baltimore he may be the one who do the work. If he is to be sent back home G-d help anybody with brain problems. Btw Alabama passed a tough law saying that drivers will be checked for papers. The first to be nabbed was a Mecedes Benz executive. How do tell if a driver is an illegal? He is the only one strickly obeying the motor vehicle code! Believe it or else! I have a grandmother who came to this country with a side trip through Canada. She had somebody else's passport. She was a much better person than the citizens who beat up on Black folk during the battles for integration in the 50's and 60's.

Fast forward to today, federal law says any non US citizen must carry status papers at all times. Germany they must also know who you are, that Mecedes Benz executive understands. You don't understand how the law works, do you. It does not matter how nice you are that allows you to be admitted to a country. You must meet their requirements. You could be the worst person there is but if you have a passport and visa you can go any where. Go to Japan or Germany without a passport/visa and tell them how nice you are and how hard you work and about your ancestors 12,000 years ago and see what happens? Nobody cares, they just want to see your passport/visa and if you don't have one you're on your way back.

It is an impossiblity to force these people out of the country. Grow up and accept reality. "Common sense"? Not hardly. Common sense does not suggest you reward those who successfully break the law "long enough". If anything, once caught, they should be dealt a harsher punishment. I suppose if you had a vacation cabin you had not visited for a while, and discovered uninvited "guests" had been living in it since your last departure, you would be eager to just sign over your deed to them, eh? After all, they were "living there for so long"! It is not an "impossibility" to force alien invaders out of our country, nor is there a single sovereign nation on this planet with an "open door" policy. I suggest you read the immigration laws of a few other nations (starting with Mexico), then brush up on U.S. law. In short, "grow up and accept reality".

There are no benefits to surrendering our sovereignty. Granting "amnesty" to alien invaders should translate as, "deportation in lieu of being tried and imprisoned".
