Too costly, there are other ways of helping the poor, like throw more money into medicaid, an up and running program that was designed for those who can't afford health care.

I believe that Government should serve the people. Basic human rights should be extended;what is more basic than health care? We, the citizens of the U.S., expect public schools, public libraries, public police and many other government services. How is health care any less important than any of these? This nation claims to value life, well it is time to live up to this claim.
