Health Care Debate - Traverse City, MI

WEe can no longer leave people behind or out in the street. We also need to control health care costs. I can not let the conservative point of view throw people under the bus.

I need more explaination, details rather than trust me...

do not want any gov intervention into my doc decisions for my family or who would determine IF someones quality of life was worth the procedure.

this is about people not b eing left behind.. or if you should lose your current coverage due to job loss, loss or your pention or catastaphic illness, that you wont go bankrupt or not go to teh doctor for fear of the bill.. this is pretty simple folks.. the President and congress just need to take 6 months and bring together all then info before presenting it.

We already ahve government health care... It's called Medicare... just put those that need coverage on it too... and lets manage it a little better.. No doctors are told what to do anymore than your private insurance does. I'am all for taking care of my neighbor..

Have the GOVERNMENT in charge of any thing this size would be a catastrophe. They have a lousy track record. No thanks I like what I have.

Feed the hungrey a private charity more then 1/2 the cost. Gov´t start a fact finding committee spend $$$ implement the program $$$$$$ over budget need more $$$ fill out the red tape more $$$$$$ finally feed the people triple the cost and again deed more $$$$$$$$$.

Way too much government bureaucracy. I'd rather make my own decisions.

It makes sense to get this country healthy. Ok smart guys, how are those that work but cant get health insurance supposed to get health insurance? Pretty simple. Insurance companies have gouged and controlled us long enough.

The plan is a communist act with far to much costs to come in the future. Plus illegal immigrants will get covered sooner or later...

We already pay for healthcare our tax dollars. We can always afford war but can never afford to care for our own citizens. We are the ONLY civilized, industrialized nation in the world that does not have some form of national healthcare. The other countries laugh at us for our "backwards" ways of conducting ourselves. Stop saying you don't want government involvement then go get a flu shot. Where did the flu shot come from, who made it, who distributed it....etc. The CDC,,, THE GOVERNMENT. Whomever you are who are opposing this are confusing Government with a Military State. Are you going to refuse your Social Security check from the Government when it comes in the mail. I think not. So, read a little more and think a little harder before you speak.
