Health Care Debate - Smyrna, GA

I have always had employer sponsored health insurance. I was recently diagnosed with a chronic disease and fear that if my employment changes, I will be caught paying exhorbitant rates or locked out of coverage altogether. I support ANY effort to manage the industry's mistreatment of policyholders who develop illnesses through no fault of their own.

I also work in the insurance industry and understand that young healthy policyholders subsidize older ailing members. I overpaid for the first forty years of my life and I am using more than my fair share now that I need more care. That is the underlying purpose of insurance.

The private insurance business has failed the American people. With all the annual rate hikes on premiums, we soon have half the country with no insurance. My insurance doesn't even cover the dental plan and I have to shell out of my own pocket. If you do the math, anything other than a catastrophic injury, you'll end up paying almost everything yourself. If you get severely ill, then they run around and refuse to pay for your treatments. In either case, you'll go bankrupt with or without the insurance. Meanwhile, the CEO's of these Nazi companies build $30 million houses all over the country while people wither away in their foreclosed homes. It's time for us to revolt and overthrow these rats out of the system.
