Campaign For Liberty's Kevin Brett recently interviewed columnist and author Tim Carney on how the health care bill empowers the drug and insurance industries, why Barack Obama is not the foe of the special interests he's believed to be, and what effect the legislation will have on our health care. Health care must be a right, not a privilege

We want reform that tackles the underlying cost problems not the government mandating what coverage is allowed and not allowed.

Medical care should NEVER be run by profit seeking organizations.
|
But why not? Do you really believe someone may put profit before care in this situation? Do you really think people would desire a new BMW rather than provide the best care possible or saving a life? I do believe it. Ya of course they will. Not all but some. |

San Jose, Calif.: A man participating in an Occupy San Jose protest has climbed a 36-foot-high wall near City Hall and is refusing to come down. Shaun O'Kelly scaled the wall around 3:20 a.m. Monday, after four other protesters were arrested for camping on city property.
O'Kelly put up a sign at the top that reads: "10 idling vehicles, 14 police officers, 4 peaceful protesters. Is your money being spent wisely San Jose?" The San Jose Mercury News reports that the 27-year-old brought blankets, garbage bags and food with him, and vowed to stay as long as he can. |

Nothing in this world is free so has hcp. I wished it could go that way but personally i see more downs than up on this hcp plan. i believe in that saying, if you dont work you dont eat and related to that, tax payers work hard to earn their money to pay for their bills and health insurance, why would the rest 33% of the population that are not working, sum lazy and drugattics and homeless with options but didn't take it be getting free HC paid by hardworers/taxpayers. just saying

The plan isn't charging those that are poor. It's charging those that play the system. Working people who choose not to buy health insurance. Forty three percent of the 50 million without insurance can afford health care and choose to not purchase. thirty percent can afford something and choose to pay nothing. We their revenue not their gambling. Sickness isn't voluntary, insurance shouldn't be voluntary. |
