I believe the cuts in medicare have not been explained... I feel the elderly will suffer... Obama support for amnesty will add hispanics to the health care system... Business will pay the 8% and opt out of giving health care to their employees...

With the current sky rocketing insurance costs, more companies can't afford giving decent health care to their employees. Many companies will drop healthcare eventually if nothing will be done. Moreover, without health care reform down the line when government no longer can afford the costs, I am afraid existing public programs for the elderly like Medicare and Medicaid will have to end too.

Yes, there is no doubt something have to be done to control the costs and make healthcare available to all Americans.

Without a public option for the poor, taxpayers will continue to be paying for catastrophic care instead of preventative care. Do you know what it costs to have a stroke? a heart attack? or to bring someone back from a diabetic coma?

Are the naysayers serious? Insurance companies don't care that tax payers are paying 100s of billions for catastrophic illnesses. All they care about is their bottom line, their 30% cut -- this is insane!

What is Obama's Health Care Program? I do tend to support most of what I understand he supports but I thought Congress was preparing a program and until they have presented something I can only guess what Obama wants or will sign. I read about all kinds of reactions to proposals but I have not seen or heard of a specific plan by the President. I think he is for certain plans but until Congress puts together a program, I can only deal with conjecture.

I just hope it works out for the best of all concerned.

Death panels? I agree, we need to do away with them. Get the insurance companies to stop sentencing people to death by refusing to pay for the health care the people bought insurance for. Without health, there is no freedom.

Maybe nurses need to start working for free. I have to work for free when the poor need help. Nobody gives me money when I help poor people. If you are in a service industry, you just got to eat it and hope the good ones come along with it.

You have seen what happened in Canada & the UK. We do bot want OBAMACARE as it will be the same. Get your comments to you Senators and Congressmen, tell THEM if they vote for OBAMACARE, you will vote them out of office - not matter how much good they did with anything else - it's time to get tough America - we need to start running this country or there wont be a country to run. Tell them if it is passed we want them including President Obama and all people in government to have to get the same OBAMACARE as they pass for America. OBAMACARE as we get law written

I believe a civilized society will care for the health needs of all of it's citizens. I would like to think we Americans are civilized. We already pay a very significant amount as a society, yet too many are without good health care.

Many are without health care by their own choosing. How far do you want to take this "civilized society"?? SHould that include food, a home, an automobile, a guaranteed job, etc.??

How many more rights and liberties are YOU willing to give up to see that "all" have the same everything?

Without wealth, there is no freedom. Shaking down people to pay for other peoples health care is one way to achieve that loss of wealth.

The Federal Government can only save money through some form of rationing of health care.Look at the waiting times to see a specialist or to get an MRI in Canada and England.( dogs and cats can get them immediately in Canada because pet health is private) Canadians come south for care that they can't get from their "free" public system in a timely manner.
Social Security and Medicare may "work" for those currently enrolled, but will ultimately run out of money and run giant deficits. Public option health care will go down the same road to burden future generations with huge federal debt.
It is just plain unconstitutional. You can argue interstate commerce clause, but we all know that for the most part it is simply a cover for congress to pass unconstitutional legislation.
Government is not in place to compete with the private market. You can't be the referee, rule commitee and a contestant. Why not have federal grocery stores to help keep the cost of food down? Maybe we need a public option for people who can't afford the same groceries as their neighbors.
True, death panels may not be a part of the current plan, but the end of life counseling sessions are the kind of infrastructure that can lead to such panels in the future. Who does decide what will be covered under a Government plan at the end of your life? Similarly, while the current plan is not a single payer universal plan it does set up a framework for the government to force the private system out of existence. If your plan changes even a little bit, if you lose your job if your current plan does not fit the Gov't standards you will be forced into the public "option". Remember that Pres. Obama told the SEIU that he was a supporter of a single payer plan. The public option is simply a step in that socialist direction.

The vote was done by giving money to Congressional districts in order to get the Congress people to vote for something they wouldn't do, without the bribe. Its too expensive for a broke Nation. There is NO Tort reform, so the Lawyers will keep getting rich.

If doctors quit adding and deceiving Med care and SSi and quit over charging for there bad service we wouldnt have problem of rising healthcare. The higher cost comt due to doc deceptive garbage to benefit themselves. Last time ya went to hospitol for ex what did you pay for a tylonal?? I can buy couple bottles for what they charge.
