I work hard and always have all my life. Due to that, I have always had insurance rather it is through an employer or I am independently insured. They only people who are for Obama's plans are those who refuse to get up and work, and/or those whom work minimally and of course those who feel sorry for them. People do not keep up with the news anymore. This will bankrupt this country and make Bush appear like an angel! WAKE UP people!

You work hard, you work hard, what are you the only person that does??? What should we do with the people making $40 or $50,000 a year? Kill them all? They can't afford their own independent insurance. Are you unaware of how much manufacturing workers make? They make about 40 - 50k. Are they all slouches and losers? Or do you want all the manufacturing to move overseas so we can eliminate those "low paying" losers jobs. Your so blinded by the thought of someone getting some of yours you are willing to cut off your nose to spite your face. Don't tell me, let me guess...you are a Republican, right?

Gee, let me guess, you are a totally one sided liberal? I myself am an Independent. I vote both ways. Why? Because I actually LEARN about the people who are running. I keep up with what is going on, unlike the majority of the country.

I work for a non-profit organization. I WISH I made 40-50k! I work hard, more for the pride in what I do and who I help rather than the money. I don't worry about having a 46 inch HDTV for the living room and then one in the parents and then another in each of the children's room. That might be because I am not into watching a single NFL game rather than learning about the country, or simply getting off my arse and doing something rather than sit and eat potato chips.

I have 20x the respect for hard working manufacturing workers than for lawyers, doctors and CEO's.

Are you telling me that every single item you buy, you turn it over, or look at the tag and if it is not made in America, you put it back and find what is made in American and buy that? I did not think so. So do not whine to me about the manufacture's going oversees.

I don't take hand outs. I work for less than what you are talking about, but because I got off my arse, did research and comparison, I DO have my own insurance. Of course, for that reason I do not care for Obama FORCING me to buy HIS insurance.

As I said before, WAKE UP.

I am conservative, not a republican. I am also willing to admit there is a real problem with our health care system. I am not for Obama's plan; I don't like the idea of the Government being in charge healthcare. The problem is the republican's put their heads in the sand and now, although we don't like O's proposal, it will look appealing to people since the problem has been denied and allowed to fester for so long. A lot of people work hard, I know of several that had worked 20+ years and were diagnosed with a degenerative disease, lost their job after a year of deteriorating health and now have no health insurance and cannot get any. If that is not a problem, what is? I feel for people like that, they aren't lazy eating chips, they deserve our compassion. Their options are to die or go bankrupt, both of which are unacceptable to me.

We need to purge our Country of those boomers. They're hogging all the money and resources. They are going to break social security and medicare.

Sign carrying grandmas with saggy tits and ugly long grey hair. Ain't so cool now.

Why should the younger generations pay to keep 'em alive forever?

Take it back to Germany, eh? Germany is doing quite well with their health care plans. The doctors don't like it much and feel they should be paid more. Ok, I get that. I think I should be paid more for what I do, as well. In fact, I think I should earn LOTs more money than I do. I am a business owner and I get dumped on by insurance companies and rip-off artists daily, but that's just how the system works. We all want more, don't we? Taiwan's health care system, Thailand's health care system and Japan's health care system works well for their people. Japan's system works so well, they have the lowest infant mortality rate in the world, and they have the longest, per capita, living citizens.

The only problem is, they need more revenue to keep up with the costs. How much to keep up, you ask ? Per person, about a 3% increase in their total payout, which equals approximately $2 US.

Force everyone to have insurance and set prices for proceedures. Then, effectively train more doctors and turn nurses into the practitioners they really are anyhow and the US system will be much better off.

If you are against Health Care reform of any kind, you're just talking to hear yourself speak, and you should probably see someone professional about that. Of course, you probably don't have a health care plan to cover that sort of thing.

PASS HEALTH CARE REFORM, NOW.

Because Americans are being charged more every year, while other countries charge ahead, outlive the US and have a more realistic understanding of what it means to care for their citizens

One big issue I see is that doctors aren't forced to take Medicaid, if they aren't forced to accept the Public Option people, assuming it passes, then there will be about 3 doctors in the Country serving the masses. The doctors must be forced to take government payment. All of them! One big problem I have with passing health reform is the illegals. They should not receive it, they aren't paying their fair share. And they shouldn't be legalized, Americans are out of work with 10% unemployment, we need our jobs back....why isn't anyone saying that? We are suffering, children are going hungry and families can't pay their bills and the illegals have stolen these families jobs and Obama isn't getting rid of the illegals to help these hurting families.
