Socialism is a buzz word used by those who lack enough intelligence to articulate their points. Spell out what's so wrong about the plan if you're so opposed to it.

Government run banks, insurance companies, car companies, Healthcare and so on and on and on. If it is not Solialism, it is the text book definition of Marxism. Attacking the messenger is the sign of brain dead Obama Zombie who wants big brother government to control every thing he does. What he eats, wears, drives and what Doctor he can see. Wake up before you get what you are surely asking for. V

Absolutely not. Attacking the messenger is someone tired of the same old dribble from the same old blue haired wonders who haven't realized that the world has changed.

I'm a registered Demo, but vote best candidate in every election, no matter which party they belong to.

I hate the bailouts, I hate government owned motors and I am certainly not neccesarily a huge fan of SOME of what is contained in the health bill. However I'm also a realist. Let us bask in your Economic genius and tell us what you would have done in Bush/Obama's shoes. This is both their doing you know.

It's all fine and dandy to criticize till you're blue in the face but if you can't offer up a valid alternative, you're nothing more than a talking head.

Love your screen name as well. About as original as well...you get my drift. Tell Glenn Beck he can suck it. ;)

I certainly would not have bailed out the banks and auto makers. It did not help them. Most of the banks were ready to pay back the bail outs, but the government did not allow it. GM was bailed out and still went filed for bankruptcy.

The whole purpose of our economy is to let what works succeed and what does not fail. Where companies failed, there would have been others, non-government, who came in and taken it over.

The real failure here was the government. They failed to enforce laws already on the books. Our law makers were looking out for their own interest and yes some of them see this as a good socialist moment.

Health care is now the target. 70 to 80 percent of Americans are happy with what we have. Socialist are using a small minority of people to change a imperfect, but the world most sucessful Health Care System in the world. Letting the government take over health care will lead to certain failure. Just like so many other things the government has done.

I have spelled it out for you, because you cannot figure out what I ment by socialism. Do you understand now?

How about some literature to back up the 'facts' in your statement?

1) You indicate the bailout didn't help the banks/automakers. Qualify and quantify that statement.

2) You indicate the government won't let them pay it back. Qualify that statement.

3) You indicate 70%+ are happy with their healthcare. Qualify that statement.

Facts seem to escape your grasp.

I have not heard of any member of Congress who has read the entire bill. I am also opposed to paying for health care by reducing Medicare services. In additio, it is difficult if not impossible to point to any government runprogram that actually delivers on its promises.

What a great RED STATE comeback. Feel free to stick your head in the sand. You don't have a family member with a pre-existing condition. Until then, BE QUIET!!!

To call you a douche bag would be an insult to douche bags everywhere. A pre-existing condition is a condition that you have before you finally decide to buy insurance. Here's a thought - buy the insurance BEFORE you need it. Until then, SHUT UP!!!

I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. I have switched providers several times over the years. All they ever do is increase the premiums, mainly because they discriminate against people who DO HAVE pre-existing conditions. Stop believing everything the big health insurance companies tell you. They could care less how deep they drive people into debt.

WE need to change the health insurance laws and procedures. The companies screw us more and more every year.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Sagittarius

It's time to muster all your resources and energies and push through to the next level. The harmony between Mars and Saturn will support your efforts. If you need to dig deeper into shared resources or your credit facilities, now's the time to do so. With careful planning and perhaps family support, you can consolidate and somehow find greater security. This is a calculation not a risk though.
