I want the US to formalize the programs already being paid for with our tax dollars. It's not that 40 million don't get health care, it's that we aren't informed as to how their care is being paid for. It is clear to me the insurance companies don't want a public option (which already exists for veterans and seniors). Have you asked yourself why that is?

[Our Country is already broke behind those greedy insurance companies and the GOP who are being supported by the insurance companies. When is America going to realize just how much money is being paid to the GOP from the insurance companies in order to gain their support when it comes to raising premiums. Then at the same time while most Americans are paying high premuims and deductibles, the GOP is only paying $45 which includes all of their family. This is what Americans are paying for them, but what is GOP doing for Americans.

If the writers of the bill do not want it, why should I be required agree with it?

Medicare has gone wild, now they want to make it even worse, we need caps on what a hosp or Dr can charge not free healthcare. Create jobs and let free people decide, Gov programs encourage laziness

We had government run health care coverage in France where I am from and it was at the very least equal to what I pay to receive here but with far fewer headaches.

I like the new Republican plan. It's one tenth of the length as well. At least maybe we could read through this one.

I oppose it. If they think it is good for us then let Congress have the same plan as us. The United States is falling apart right before our eyes. American needs to take a stand for our freedom.

I agree with Inholf we need to come together as a community of American citizens and take care of our weakest members.

You don't scrap the health care system that we have. You can make changes to it like letting insurance companies cross state lines and competeing. What I can't believe is that they plan on fining people who don't contribute. All of these millions of people out of a job and they are going to fine them if they can't come up with the money? No, I don't support thjis at all.

The bill has nothing to do with providing better health care access and/or coverage to Americans - it has everything to do with power and increased government control. Obama and Pelosi are completely out of touch with our great nation!!

No one should go bankrupt because of medical costs. Why should good health care only be available for the wealthy?
